上川隆也を主演に、江戸川乱歩賞受賞作家・翔田寛の同名小説を映像化した捜査ミステリー(全5話)。昭和49(1974)年と平成20(2008)年に起きた2つの殺人事件が交差して、未解決のままだった幼児誘拐事件の真相に迫る。上川は、真犯人を追う刑事・重藤成一郎の20代・40代・60代を演じ分ける。
