冤罪被害者の救済に取り組む団体「チーム・ゼロ」に所属する弁護士・藤嶋翔太（中島裕翔）のもとに、一通の手紙が届く。「信じてくれ、俺はやってない」。それは、２５年前、岐阜県郡上八幡で起きた一家惨殺事件の犯人として死刑判決を受けた宮原からのものだった。宮原に自分の父を重ね、嫌悪と葛藤を抱く藤嶋だったが、事件について調べ始めるなかで、検察の主張と矛盾する不自然な事実を見出していく。しかし、そんな藤嶋たちの前に指紋鑑定の壁が立ちはだかり、岐阜地検のトップである検事正・稗田一成も動き出す。宮原の死刑執行が刻一刻と近づくなか、藤嶋は、チーム・ゼロの若きリーダーである東山佐奈、親友の安野草介たちとともに難攻不落の再審請求に挑むが……。
