  • S01E01 Which Truth Did I Tell?

    Natalie starts out her new job as the Researcher on the top-rated lifestyle series Smart Woman by telling her new boss (and best friend), Liz, a big lie. Luckily Liz is too busy with her own problems to notice. Brooke tries to help Nat out, but Brooke is busy with her own lies, trying get out of double booking a date to a big award show.

    Not knowing Lana HATES her birthday; Nat plans a surprise party for her. Nat feels Liz is ignoring their friendship and also wants to use the party to spend some non-work time together. Brooke feels left out when she never receives the party invite and thinks Nat needs to learn a thing or two about etiquette.

    In an attempt to show more initiative, Nat produces her first segment, and creates her first major Lana crisis: she exposes Lana’s inability to cook to everyone, including the cooking expert. Meanwhile, when the network bumps up the budget meeting, Liz is left scrambling and gets bullied by the network executive. Unwittingly, Liz bullies Brooke into helping her out.

    Nat researches speed-dating and meets Callum. Callum and Nat might not be a match, but he is perfect for someone else on the show. Liz bets Brooke that Brooke can’t go a week without flirting. Brooke thinks she has it in the bag, until she meets the hot organizational expert.

    Nat has to buy a new washer for Lana, and when her dad and Wyatt insist on helping, their competition with each other takes over. Brooke and Liz have a crush on the same barista, and when that barista shows interest in Liz, Brooke finds herself in unfamiliar territory she’s jealous!

    Nat goes from researching a segment on bras to having to wear a bra on national television. Brooke has no problem wearing a bra on television -- it’s a mammogram that she’s afraid of. And Steve’s busty new secretary leaves Liz in a tizzy.

    Alistair and Nat fight their attraction to one other when they are forced to spend the afternoon together cleaning Lana’s bathroom. Brooke’s love of cheese is tempered by her severe lactose intolerance and Liz is tempted to return to her party girl ways when her college buddy drops off some wine. While the team fights their desires, they ignore the needs of Lana’s new pet canary.

    Nat informs Alistair, Liz and Phil that their lottery pool has won big. However, Natalie is unable to keep the secret from Lana, who gets upset and runs out in the middle of shooting a segment because she wasn’t included. When Phil, Liz and Alistair spend their winnings before they get the money, they learn a valuable lesson. Amidst the chaos, Callum proposes to Lana.

    Lana returns from a retreat, transformed by a new way of thinking called Inya and wants to change the entire show. An overworked Liz must save the show from Lana’s crazy new ideas and she needs Nat and Brooke’s help. However, Nat is stuck between moving into her new apartment and doing her job. Brooke is in trouble, because she has messed up Reggie’s relationship with his mentor and then accidentally gets him fired from the show. And Liz’s husband is forcing her to take a little down time.

    Nat’s feeling low about Wyatt and makes the dreaded mistake: drinking and dialing. Brooke finds out that her closest family member, her grandfather, has died. She has to arrange everything and now, for the first time in her life, she feels completely alone. And Liz tries to take the day off for a tantric sex workshop, but Lana’s wedding dress blues turn into a Smart Woman 9-1-1.

    Lana, in a precarious emotional state over her upcoming nuptials, is pushed over the edge when she finds out Callum wants to wear a kilt to the wedding. Alistair and Nat compete for a raise, and Lana makes an offer: whoever convinces Callum NOT to wear the kilt gets the money. Meanwhile, Liz faces her demons when she auditions wedding singers and her old bandmate shows up. Brooke is busy planning a segment on the pros of prenups and secretly working on Lana’s bachelorette party.

    The whole office is busy working toward Lana’s on-screen wedding the climax of the three-episode sweep of Smart Woman wedding-themed shows. Nat is assigned "follow the groom", which proves much tougher than she anticipated when Callum confesses he still has feelings for her. Liz is moody and unpredictable and worries whether or not she’s pregnant. And Brooke has a new experience: she falls for a man who won’t sleep with her. Will Lana and Callum say ‘I do’?

  • S02E01 The Aftermath

    When Lana returns from her Spanish honeymoon keen to air her new Castillian accent on the Smart Woman special, 'Fiesta Espana', Liz has to find a way to create the segment without alienating the Smart Woman viewers. Meanwhile, Nat wonders whether to tell Lana that she and Callum kissed on their wedding day. And Brooke accidentally erases Lana's digital wedding album. With special guest, Rick Campanelli, of Entertainment Tonight Canada.

  • S02E02 Tastes Like Chicken

    When Lana's newest guest chef turns out to be the high school sweetheart who jilted Brooke on prom night, Brooke sets out for revenge (a dish best served cold, with parsley for show). Meanwhile, Liz faces retribution from both Nat and Steve when she tries to sabotage their video game competition. And Alistair tries to set Phil up with a new girl to help him get over Nat.

    After Nat eavesdrops on a conversation where Liz uses words like 'terminate' and 'lay off', Nat's certain that someone at Smart Woman is getting fired - specifically her. Meanwhile Liz is misquoted by a local magazine, and has to stop the presses. And when Brooke hears a rumor that she's bad at beat poetry, she puts on a beret to prove the rumor wrong.

    When Liz invites a French sales agent to the studio to help Smart Woman design a proposal for potential buyers from the European market, she discovers the Frenchman has an adulterous proposal for her as well. And Alistair makes Nat pay for cheating on a relationship commitment they still haven't made. With relationship expert, Josey Vogels.

  • S03E01 The Hot Marriage Bed
