  • SPECIAL 0x18 Timeline Restored

    • July 17, 2012

JJ's Star Trek caused the Star Trek timeline to be disrupted. Luckily, Star Trek Phase II is on its way to the rescue! This short amusing film was originally made for the German FedCon XX convention (Europe's largest) in 2011 and was shown during the opening ceremony. The idea for this clip came from James Cawley who discussed this idea with Tobias Richter while visiting Tobias in his offices in Cologne, Germany after FedCon 2010. The interior shots were filmed by Phase II and the special effects were made by Tobias Richter.

  • SPECIAL 0x20 The Making of Timeline Restored

    • December 1, 2012

James Cawley (Kirk - New Voyages: Phase II) visited FedCon - Europe's largest Star Trek convention - in 2010. After the convention, he had an opportunity to visit Tobias Richter at his CGI-Graphics company, The Light Works in Cologne. During that meeting, Tobias showed his CGI model of the Enterprise from the 2009 Star Trek movie by J.J. Abrams, which James had a small guest role on. James dislikes the shape of that movie Enterprise and suggested Phase II could put out a short video where the original Enterprise blows up the movie version! The finished video does not blow up the ship, as a more ingenious solution is thought up by Tobias. This video shows the discussion between James Cawley and Tobias Richter about how to make the episode and then it shows the finished production as shown, a year later, at FedCon 2011 and afterwards released on the Internet.
