Season 1

  • S01E01 Brannigan's Boots

    Crooked politicians in Bluerock appoint Tom sheriff after noting his poor shooting aim. Tom, however, takes the job seriously, and in the sheriffs office he dons a pair of boots standing against the wall. A pretty girl who is watching him says he's not man enough to fill her father's boots and, to prove her wrong, Tom sets out to find her father's killer.

    While out in the mountains Sugarfoot captures a wild horse. Later the horse is stolen from him and sold to a rancher. Sugarfoot takes a job as a stablehand in order to take care of the animal and to expose the horse thief.

    After a mine cave-in, Sugarfoot is trapped with a half-breed Indian who has been accused of murder. The man tells Sugarfoot that he has been wrongly accused and that he hid in the mine to escape from the lawmen hunting him.

    When Sugarfoot inherits a mine and a mule team he is hard put to realize any value from them. He begins to build a railroad spur to work the mine but is blocked by a man who wants to gain control of the mine.

  • S02E01 Ring of Sand

    Sugarfoot vouches for an old friend, an ex-con who then proceeds to rob the bank.

  • S02E03 The Wizard

    A traveling magician, who is also an accomplished hypnotist, hypnotizes his assistant and orders her to set fire and to name Sugarfoot as the arsonist. After the fire the irate townspeople, hearing Sugarfoot is responsible for the blaze, decide to lynch him.

    Sugarfoot is given the assignment of taking a teenager to Missouri to collect the boy's inheritance. Enroute, Sugarfoot learns that the boy is violent and is also suspected of a murder.

    A notorious gunman learns that he and Sugarfoot are almost doubles. He kidnaps Sugarfoot and prepares to impersonate him in order to carry out a bank robbery.

    In exchange for a horse and provisions, Sugarfoot agrees to travel with Alex Sharlakov, a former Russian seaman. After reaching Kansas, Sharlakov takes Sugarfoot to a ghost mining town, where the Russian looks for two men who had attempted to kill him.

    Tom Brewster and Christopher Colt join forces to capture a gang of outlaws. Brewster disguises himself as the infamous Canary Kid and makes contact with the outlaws; then the real Kid escapes from prison and heads for the gang's hideout.

    Attractive French emissary Yvette Marveux entrusts Sugarfoot with a fortune in diamonds. Traveling by train, the two find their trip interrupted by a group of European military men after the jewels.

    Tom Brewster searches for Vic Bradley and his Indian wife, who are hiding out in a mountain area that is supposed to be haunted. Brewster has evidence which may clear Bradley of a murder charge.

  • S02E16 The Twister

    Bank robber Sid Garvin has forced his brother, a schoolteacher, to hold money he has stolen. When Garvin comes to collect his money, he holds Sugarfoot and three schoolchildren as hostages.

    Along the trail, Sugarfoot comes upon a young woman wandering in a daze and takes her to a nearby fort. Sugarfoot finds that the fort has recently been attacked by Indians and its sole inhabitant is an officer who had been jailed on charges of desertion.

    Tom Brewster and a convicted murderer called Pike are passengers on the same stagecoach when a sudden storm forces the travelers to take shelter. While the travelers wait in a deserted cathedral, Pike's guard is shot. Sugarfoot traces the sniper to an abandoned mine shaft.

    Sugarfoot travels with Col. Cyrus Craig toward Mexico, where they are to claim the corpse of the colonel's son. En route, they are stopped by a gang of blackmailers.

    Sugarfoot is working as a ranch foreman for a widow. When some of the cattle are stolen and evidence point to Wolf Wilkes, Tom comes to Wolf's defense.

  • S03E01 The Trial of the Canary Kid

    Tom sets out to free his identical cousin, the Canary Kid, who is on trial for murder.

  • S03E02 The Wild Bunch

    Sugarfoot rides into Morgan's Ford, a seemingly quiet and friendly town, and takes a job as schoolteacher. He soon learns that the townspeople are fighting over water rights and living in fear of a gang of young toughs who are his pupils.

    The same day citizens of a rough frontier town appoint Tom Brewster as sheriff, three of Tom's relatives arrive to heap another honor on the unsuspecting cowboy. Dougal, Angus and Wee Rabbie MacBrewster have traveled from Scotland to proclaim Tom chief of their clan. When Ben Cadigan and his gang attempt to hold up the bank, Sugarfoot's visiting relatives come to the aid of the chief.

    Tom Brewster rescues a Gypsy girl and soon finds that the young lady has marriage on her mind. The Gypsy chief looks on Tom with disfavor and the cowboy must contend with a vengeful Gypsy rival.

    Government agent Chris Colt suspects that recent prison breaks have been supervised by the Canary Kid, an imprisoned outlaw. Colt asks Sugarfoot to take the Kid's place in prison.

    Tom Brewster wants to free Sally Ormand, who is a prisoner of the Baron, ruler of an island. Learning that the islanders are ready to revolt, Tom sparks the uprising.

    Tom Brewster is caught between a famous actress' request that he find her lost stallion, and a killer's promise of death if he does.

    Tom Brewster meets Curro Santiago, who is romancing Ellen Conway, despite her brother's opposition. When Santiago is held for a murder that he didn't commit, Tom tries to help his new friend.

    Tom Brewster sees Nora Sutton shoot down a wealthy landowner. But Judge Lawson names Brewster to be her defense attorney.

    When Jake Sloane can't take the measure of a dude named Theodore in a barbershop brawl, Sugarfoot decides to find out more about the dude. One thing he finds out is that his last name is Roosevelt.

    Chief Red Wing of the Sioux Indians is on his way to Chicago for a conference with President Grant. Sugarfoot has been hired to accompany the chief to see that he doesn't get assassinated.

    John Brice is in town to investigate charges of corruption. When someone tries to murder Brice, Toothy Thompson, a long-time troublemaker, is jailed as a suspect.

    Greed rancher John Peel tries to use grazing land belonging to a shepherd named Joachin. The shepherd can't defend his property, but his son Pablo can, and he's got a gun to help him.

    Sugarfoot and his pal Toothy Thompson don't mind helping out Sheriff Boyce with a gang of killers, but they would like to know just who the leader of the gang is.

    Sugarfoot loads the bodies of two murderers onto a horse and brings them into town. Although the killers shot each other, the townspeople are convinced that Sugarfoot is the fast gun who got them both.

    Jimmy and Rance Benbow are accused of murder, and Sugarfoot is appointed their defense counsel. He knows he has got a tough case when he sees that the prosecuting attorney is Rhonda Rigsby, the daughter of the murdered man.
