Arsalan Jamshed Ali (Arsal) and Ajiya Nazakat Ali (Jiya) fight like dogs and cats. They were forced to get married by their dying grandfather against their wishes. But they are not living together because the wedding reception is yet to happen. Their aunt and uncle arrive from Peshawar to help with setting the date for the reception.
Arsal and Jiya try to talk to their respective mothers to cancel the wedding reception. On the other hand, Kinza is secretly in love with Arsal. Jalal is upset that his name is not on the wedding invite cards but the family consoles him somehow. Arsal's friend gives him an idea to cancel the wedding.
Jiya expresses her dreams of studying business at London School of Economics. Arsal plays a prank of Jiya to exact revenge for the prank she played on him. Jalal starts his Ramzan fasts early. Meanwhile, Shah Jahan (Agha Jee) and his grandson, Shehryar lands up at the house at Jiya's invitation and Mumtaz Begum (Bi Jaan) is upset.
Bi Jaan keeps the gift that Agha Jee gives her. Arsal is disappointed that their plan to make them fight and cancel the wedding is foiled. Masooma is considering Shehryar for her daughter, Kinza. While Shehryar is encouraging Jiya to apply for the scholarship to London, Kinza is trying to build bridges with Arsal. Jamshed and Nazakar find out that their wedding hall booking is now cancelled. Jiya tries to cancel the wedding by making her friend call Jamshed pretending to be Arsal's ex-girlfriend. Jamshed, Nazakat, and Agha Jee try to mediate between Jiya and Arsal.
Jamshed, Nazakat, and Masooma find a way to get Bi Jaan to agree to the wedding hall booked by Agha Jee. Jalal objects to the blossoming friendship between Shehryar and Kinza. Jiya goes to Huma's house without taking permission. When Naeema finds out, she sends Arsal to bring her but they fight and Arsal leaves her midway. All the family members worry when Jiya has not returned late at night. Everyone blames Arsal when they find out he left her on the road.
Agha Jee, Nazakat, and Jamshed go to check out a dead body making everyone worried home, leaving Arsalan feels particularly guilty. Shahana defends her son. Meanwhile, Jiya is found at a hospital knocked out with medication. Kinza tells her mother that Arsal and Jiya don't want to get married. Once Jiya comes home, she refuses to marry Arsal and Bi Jaan agrees to cancel the wedding. Naeema agrees and refuses to let Jiya marry Arsal.
Masooma speaks of getting Kinza married to Arsal with Jalal, who is unhappy with the idea. The wedding venue booking is cancelled again. Arsal and Jiya rejoice in the fact that the wedding is cancelled only to be disappointed when the decision is reversed. Arbela (Billo) shows up for the wedding prep, irritating Shahana further.
Billo continues to be irritated by Billo's interactions with Jamshed. Arsal and Jiya are worried about their wedding reception, which is back on track. Meanwhile, Jiya gets a scholarship from a program in London with Shehryar's help. They come up with a new plan. Jiya and Arsal try to create misunderstanding between Shahana, and Naeema and Jiya using Jamshed and Billo. Shahana threatens to leave home but Agha Jee stops her.
Arsal worries if they have taken things too far when he hears his parents fighting endlessly. Masooma takes advantage of the situation to further her daughter's wedding proposal with Shahana. Meanwhile, Shehryar starts developing feelings towards Jiya. Shahana leaves the house, worrying everyone. Arsal spots Jiya riding his bike with Shehryar at the back and gets angry, worrying that the rift between his parents is going too far. He stops speaking to Shehryar.
Kinza stays back with Shahana and Agha Jee takes Jamshed and Nazakat to console her. She refuses to come with them, disappointing everyone. Arsal gets angry at Jiya and tries to slap her but Shehryar stops her. Jiya stops talking to Arsal and this bothers him.
Bi Jaan declares that if Shahana throws wrenches in Arsal and Jiya's wedding reception, she will get Billo married to Jamshed. Masooma continues to poison Shahana's mind against Naeema. Arsal get's angry at Bi Jaan's threat and goes to live with his mother. Shahana plans on getting Arsal married to Kinza instead. Billo suggests that Bi Jaan go to a shaman to get the wedding reception fixed. Masooma and Jiya separately hear about the shaman and decide to visit him for their respective agendas.
Jiya and Shehryar, Bi Jaan and Billo, and Masooma and Jalal reach Chutki Shah's place with their respective requests. Nazakat and Naeema confront Shahana and Arsal but the rift widens. Chutki Shah tells Jiya that her time to go abroad has not come yet, which upsets her. Arsal takes Kinza out to dinner but talks about Jiya, upsetting Kinza. Jiya and Shehryar run into the two and tensions flare up.
Shehryar pays for Arsal and Kinza's meal, angering Arsal. Agha Jee and Bi Jaan continue their sharp exchange of words. Arsal comes home to argue with Shehryar only to discover that his father is having a heart attack. Jamshed is taken to the hospital where Agha Jee tells Jalal that Jamshed is faking the heart attack. Jiya tries to console Arsal but he acts coldly towards her. Shahana reaches the hospital disturbed.
Agha Jee consoles Shahana, Nazakat, and Bi Jaan. Jiya tries to apologise to Arsal with a grand gesture. Arsal melts and both resume their friendship. Bi Jaan finds out about Jamshed and goes home angry. She tells Jiya and Arsal about the hospital drama the next morning and Arsal rushes over to the hospital in anger. However, Jiya convinces him to let Jamshed and Shahana patch up.
Kinza is feeling insecure about Arsal and Jiya. Arsal and Jiya sneak out for dinner while their mothers instruct them to stay away from each other. Nazakat and Naeema find out about Jamshed's acting and tell Bi Jaan that they don't want to get their daughter married to Arsal. Naeema is hostile towards Jamshed. While the elders are fighting, Jiya and Arsal enjoy some light-hearted friendship.
Couple of policemen catch Arsal and Jiya on the bike and ask to call their parents. Bi Jaan is upset that her children are fighting and Agha Jee tries to console her. The parents scold Arsal and Jiya and forbid them to spend any time together. Shahana brings a marriage proposal for Kinza.
Shahana gets acceptance from Masooma for the wedding proposal. The family splits even for iftar but Arsal and Jiya exchange food from either side. Kinza feels jealous and fights with Arsal. Jiya goes out with Shehryar but misses Arsal. Shahana and Naeema catch Jiya and Arsal talking and a fight erupts. Kinza and Arsal tell their respective mothers that they won't be able to marry each other. Jiya gets scolded harshly by Naeema.
Kinza apologises to Arsal but he is upset that Jiya is crying. Jiya is upset with Arsal while he tries to console her and make up for Shahana's insults. While Masooma and Shahana prep for the upcoming wedding, Nazakat and Naeema ask Bi Jaan and Agha Jee to mediate the divorce between Arsal and Jiya. Jiya and Arsal sneak out and get spotted by Shahana and Jamshed, creating further ruckus in Mumtaz Mahal.
After Arsal's refusal to give a divorce to Jiya, everybody is confused, including Jiya. Arsal confesses to Jiya that he is doing this for her, so she can go study abroad without any objections. He promises to send her papers when she is there but she refuses to believe him. Nazakat initiates legal procedures and Shehryar takes her to a lawyer. Jalal takes Billo to the doctor on the motorcycle, irritating Masooma and Jamshed.
Kinza is worried that she won't be able to marry Arsal without his divorce. Bi Jaan tries to convince Jiya to stop the divorce. Shahana and Masooma catch Jalal with Billo, courtesy DJ's video reporting. Arsal, Shehryar, and Jiya go out for iftar where Arsal tries to tell Jiya about his genuine feelings but she refuses to reconsider divorce. Kinza discovers Jiya's photo on Arsal's bedside table and tears it in anger. On the way back, the three encounter some dacoits.
Shehryar abandons the two people and runs away. As the dacoits try to misbehave with Jiya, Arsal steps out and gets hurt. Jiya takes him to the hospital. The parents panic when they find out. Nazakat calms down when he sees that Jamshed also cares for Jiya. Jiya is apologetic towards Arsal but he acts a little cold and angry at her confusion. She begins to realise that she also likes him and does not want the divorce. Agha Jee asks Bi Jaan to take a more active stand in the matter. Upon confronting Nazakat, Naeema and Jiya, Jiya finally confesses that she does not want to go through the legal divorce proceedings.
Shehryar tells Kinza that Arsal doesn't want to leave Jiya and she is disheartened. She stops Arsal from going to Jiya but he refuses to be held back. Jiya is upset when her parents try to set up a marriage proposal. Billo comes to help Jiya through her feelings and situation while Shahana and Masooma prepare for the upcoming festivities. Arsal and Jiya start being cordial towards each other. She folds his clothes for him and he waits patiently to pick her up from college. Bi Jaan finds out that Nazakat and Naeema have called people over for Jiya's marriage proposal, angering her.
Billo influences Jalal to oppose Arsal's marriage to Kinza. Arsal gets possessive over Shehryar talking to Jiya. He tears the second divorce notice from court. Kinza spots Jiya attending to Arsal's wounds and tries to slap her but Arsal stops her. DJ helps in driving away Jiya's potential suitor and ruins the divorce papers to delay matters.
Arsal and Jiya try to talk through their feelings. Arsal starts going to the factory and Jiya gets caught by Nazakat talking to him. Bi Jaan comes in time and saves her. Arsal learns about Jiya's refusal to sign the divorce papers and asks DJ to record her conversation with Huma. Bi Jaan conspires with Jalal to stop Kinza's marriage with Arsal.
Shehryar and Kinza talk about their hurt feelings. Bi Jaan and Agha Jee try to trick Masooma and Shahana. Arsal ends up seeing DJ's recording and finds out that Jiya is in love with him. Naeema calls Aliya again for the wedding proposal. Arsal and Jiya go to the lawyer to take back the divorce papers.
Masooma is perturbed that Jalal will marry Billo but Bi Jaan refuses to help her till she stops Kinza's wedding to Arsal. Shehryar and Kinza go out together for iftar while Jiya meets with her prospective groom. Arsal gives them their wedding card which shocks them and they leave, refusing the proposal. As Jiya musters up the courage to confront Arsal, he is dreaming about her. Shahana confronts him and he tells her that he plans to divorce her in front of the family. Jiya and Arsal talk heart to heart.
Shehryar and Kinza's friendship deepens. Arsal hears Jiya confessing her feelings to Huma and some light-hearted moments follow. Billo refuses to marry Jalal. Shahana and Masooma try to convince others to ease the wedding prep matters. But Arsal and Jiya refuse to divorce each other. Nazakat and Naeema, angry, threaten Jiya and ask her to choose between her parents and Arsal. This angers Bi Jaan who threatens both sets of parents to either choose between their mother or their kids' divorce.
Both couples evaluate their options. Jawad (Joji), Shahana's cousin arrives at Mumtaz house. Naeema overhears Jiya telling Huma that if she is forced to divorce Arsal, she will die. Bi Jaan shares with DJ that she is acting about selling the house. Joji and Billo hit it off. Nazakat declares that he will get his daughter divorced but she does not sign the papers. Jamshed and Nazakat reconcile.
Jiya and Arsal flirt with each other but Bi Jaan asks them to not see each other till the wedding. Jamshed and Shahana fight about Joji's previous engagement to Shahana. Jalal and Joji have a fight over Billo, and Jalal seethes with jealousy as they flirt with each other. Agha Jee puts forth a wedding proposal for Shehryar and Kinza to Masooma and Jalal, who accept immediately. Shahana finds out about Jamshed's fake heart attack.
Arsal and Jiya are back to their love-hate relationship! Shehryar and Kinza discuss their upcoming wedding. Joji also formalizes his marriage proposal to Billo. Wedding festivities begin and end with Arsal and Jiya as a married couple!
Arsal and Jiya continue their love-hate relationship day after the wedding. Shahana informs Nazakat that his old flame, Parveen (Pari), is coming with her son to the wedding reception and asks him to take care that Bi Jaan is unaware.
Arsal and Jiya fight about her plans for further studies in London and eventually make up. Pari (Pino) finally lands up at Mumtaz House with her son, Mithu, and creates a ruckus in the house with her words! Bi Jaan strongly objects to Pino's presence in the house and threatens to leave home if she doesn't.
Everyone tries to convince Bi Jaan to let Pari stay. Arsal and Jiya fight over Walima guest list. DJ tries to prank Mithoo time and again, getting him beaten by Pari for setting fire to Jalal's room. Kinza goes shopping for her wedding with Shehryar. Arsal and Jiya try to sneak out for lunch but are caught and stopped by Shahana.
Bi Jaan warms up a tiny bit towards Pari. Pari apologises to Mithoo for beating him up so badly in public. They all go and fly kites on the terrace, which creates a nuisance for the neighbours. They complain to the cops but everyone handles the situation with the police. Arsal and Jiya finally sneak out to lunch but Arsal forgets his wallet and calls Mithoo for help.
Mithoo takes 3 hours to reach the restaurant, leading to much embarrassment for Arsal and Jiya. Eventually, Shehryar comes to the rescue. Shahana scolds the two when everyone finds out they went out despite being forbidden. Arsal and Jiya argue about her going to London. Pari mistakes Joji for a dacoit in the middle of the night and beats him up. Joji's mother, Nagina chachi, shows up the next morning for his wedding proposal but mistakes Kinza for Billo, thus upsetting Billo.
Arsal and Jiya continue fighting with each other on the London topic. She cries to Shehryar and Kinza. Joji tries to cheer Billo up and apologise. She says that she will not marry Joji against his mother's wishes, which she overhears and melts. Nagina chachi outrages Bi Jaan by discussing Joji and Billo's marriage with Agha Jee preferentially instead. She proposes that they get those two also married at Arsal and Jiya's walima. Arsal and Jiya fight over pick up and drop at the parlour.
Shehryar and Kinza, and Joji and Billo get married. Everybody rejoices. Jiya finally gets a confirmation from her university in London and announces it to everyone but no one celebrates it. Arsal and Jiya continue fighting on the topic.
Arsal, heartbroken, gives Jiya permission to go study in London but is upset with her and refuses to speak with her. Pari encourages Mithoo to befriend Huma. Jiya complains to Shahana and Jamshed about Arsal's refusal to support her dreams while Arsal complains to Nazakat and Naeema about Jiya abandoning him. DJ snitches on Mithoo flirting with Huma and both get scolded by Agha Jee.
Jalal tries flirting with Pari but to no avail. Bi Jaan decides that it is Jiya's right to go and study in the UK. Arsal leaves upset but then proposes that they go to London together. Suddenly, they reconcile and make plans to apply for visa. Jalal's niece, Romaina, lands from Peshawar and catches Mithoo's fancy. Pari, on the other hand, goes shopping with Jalal on the bike and gets caught by the police who inform Jamshed.
Shehryar gets angry when he hears that Kinza was to marry her cousin from Peshawar. Arsal and Jiya get Shahana to soften Jamshed for giving his bank statement. When Shehryar gets angry and tells Maina that he is Kinza's husband, hell breaks loose and she threatens to pass this information along to Peshawar. Jalal, scared, stops her. Shehryar consoles Kinza. Jalal threatens to commit suicide but everyone convinces him to drop the idea after Maina promises to not tell everyone home about Kinza's wedding.
Pari asks Mithoo to pursue Maina and he asks Arsal for help. Arsal, who was out to photocopy documents hands them over to Mithoo. He loses the documents in the auto and hell breaks loose. Eventually, the auto drivers returns documents but Arsal is hurt over Jiya's behaviour. Bi Jaan and others try to figure out how Billo's wedding can be funded. Arsal and Jiya make up. Nagina Chachi angers Parveen who burns Joji's kurta.
Pari threatens to leave the house with her son but Shahana and Agha Jee stop them. Arsal and Mithoo go shopping together and get matching suits for Maina and Jiya, angering Jiya. Agha Jee gets gajre for Bi Jaan but DJ catches him. Cute moments blossom between the two. The festivities begin for both weddings and Jiya gets jealous when Arsal dances with Maina but she is forbidden to dance. Everyone enjoys the two weeks of functions.
Arsal and Jiya dream about their UK life and collect their visa envelopes. Jiya gets a visa but Arsal's application gets rejected. Nazakat reveals that he had prayed for their visas getting cancelled. Arsal and Jiya argue about her going to London. Joji proposes that they leave for Chichawatni but Billo shows him a flirtatious text from Jalal. Joji goes to beat up Jalal. Shehryar tries to convince Arsal to let go of the anger.
Jiya cries to Shahana but she supports her. The family tries to resolve the fight between Joji and Jalal. Bi Jaan and Agha Jee find out about Arsal kicking Jiya out of the room and try to mediate the situation to no avail. Everyone gets ready to celebrate the couples' reception. Bi Jaan asks Agha Jee to stay longer. Pari declares that she will not leave Karachi without getting Mithoo married. DJ revolts against Arsal throwing Jiya out and Jamshed slaps Arsal out of anger.
Shehryar and Kinza prepare to go on their honeymoon while Joji, Billo and Nagina chachi head back to Chichawatni. Pari insists that she will stay another month and fix Mithoo's wedding with Maina. Kinza advises Masooma to tell Jalal's family about her marriage to Shehryar. Arsal is upset over Jiya's decision and tears up his passport. Jiya has a stomach ache and when Bi Jaan asks Arsal to take her to the doctor, he asks her to do it herself to prepare for her life in London. Pari suggests that Jiya may be pregnant.
Jalal informs the family that Dar Jee has taken away all his business. Shahana tells everyone in the house that Jiya is pregnant and rescinds her permission to her for London. Arsal rejoices. Jiya becomes very upset. Pari suggests that Bi Jaan give Masooma her share in the property to make Jalal and Maina stay back at Mumtaz House, causing further chaos in the house. Jiya sneaks out to Huma's house, worrying everyone.
Everyone discusses Pari's suggestion while Jalal calculates Masooma's share. The brothers try to talk to Masooma but to no avail. Arsal takes extra care of Jiya, irritating Jiya further. Naeema finds out about Nazakat's affair with Pari and threatens to leave the house, taking DJ along with her. Bi Jaan stops her and asks Shahana to throw Pari and her son out. However, Jalal and Masooma stop her. Mithoo proposes to Maina but her dupatta catches on fire.
Jalal tells everyone he has hired a lawyer. Agha Jee tries to offer him partnership in his business but Jalal refuses. Naeema cries endlessly due to Nazakat's lies, while Arsal and Jiya find out that she is not pregnant. She rages and tries to salvage the situation but is unsuccessful. Pari advises Jalal to threaten Bi Jaan that he will dump Masooma if she doesn't divide the property. Thieves steal Maina's phone when Mithoo goes to pick her up and he promises to bring it back for her in exchange for a favour.
Mithoo confesses to Pari about the stolen phone and she gives him an idea. Bi Jaan doesn't give heed to Jalal's threat and asks him to leave. He feels very insulted while Mithoo is scared that they'll send Maina to the hostel. Pari convinces Bi Jaan to give them their share. Shahana makes Jiya realize her mistake but Naeema refuses to forgive. Pari goes around asking for money discreetly from all the other members.
Pari continues asking other members for money and manages to collect enough for a new phone. Jalal talks about joining the factory with Arsal and learning the trade. Jiya sends lunch for Arsal with Mithoo but he refuses to eat it. Mithoo and Maina eat the lunch instead and tell Jiya that Arsal loved it. Jalal overhears Mithoo telling Jiya about his love for Maina and attacks him but he escapes. Arsal acts coldly towards Jiya.
Arsal tries to play pranks so that Jiya falls in love with him again. Love blossoms between Maina and Mithoo. Arsal continues to reject Jiya's cooking and ignores her. Bi Jaan threatens to transfer the house to Masooma's name if the brothers don't give her her share of the inheritance. Pari regrets encouraging Mithoo to fall in love when he rebels against her. Pari cries to Nazakat while Huma tries to make Jiya acknowledge her faults. Maina convinces Mithoo to apologise to his mother.
Pari gives her acceptance for Maina to Mithoo. Arsal tries to make Jiya jealous with Maina. Jalal creates a ruckus in the factory but Bi Jaan is unable to understand the problem. Jamshed's health deteriorates. Arsal goes to drop Maina to her University party, angering Jiya. They have a confrontation about Arsal not eating breakfast and lunch.
Mithoo's innocent lies come to the fore, impressing Bi Jaan. Arsal and Jiya have a grave fight. Agha Jee recommends Jamshed give Masooma her share. Jalal gets fooled into thinking there is a ghost in the garden when Mithoo falls on him and runs away. Arsal leaves after hearing her ultimatum and feels deeply hurt. Shahana scolds her son for his behaviour towards Jiya and scolds Maina for asking Arsal to pick her up and drop her.
Shahana scolds Arsal but to no avail. Bi Jaan's bangles go missing and she doubts Nagina Chachi. DJ blackmails Mithoo and Maina into coming as parents to his school to sign on the report card but they get caught. Arsal deliberately tortures Jiya and she decides to tolerate for a month. Shahana slaps Arsal and he threatens to leave the house. She does not give in and Arsal leaves home, not listening to anyone, including Jiya. Everyone protests but Shahana defends her decision.
Arsal feels unloved and rejected. Pari sends Jiya with Mithoo and Maina for dinner where they run into Arsal. Fight erupts and both of them declare before family that they cannot live with each other. Agha Jee gives them 1 month of time to live separate lives before breaking the marriage. DJ gets his phone back and Jalal gets his cheque. Pari threatens to leave house unless Jalal talks to his relatives to cancel Maina's engagement. Arsal feels rejected from the entire family.
Shahana encourages Jiya to also apply for a course at the University when Huma brings her admission letter. Jiya takes admission in the program. Everyone acts coldly towards Arsal. Love blossoms between Maina and Mithoo. Upon Agha Jee's idea, everyone ignores Arsal. Arsal comes to pick up Jiya but she acts as if he is harassing her in front of the police. He gets thrown in a lock-up and Jiya doesn't tell anyone upon reaching home. Masooma informs Dar Jee about Maina and Mithoo's affair.
Arsal does not come home till night time and everyone is worried. Jalal prepares to fake a heart attack upon hearing that Dar Jee is coming. The police don't let Arsal call home. Under pressure, Jiya finally tells others that the police has taken him away. Agha Jee, Jamshed, and Nazakat go to free him. Everyone is disappointed in Jiya's behaviour and boycotts her. Maina is stressed and Mithoo is not helpful. Next morning, Maina and Jalal are scared that Dar Jee has reached Karachi.
Dar Jee lands in Karachi, firing shots every few minutes. He flirts with Bi Jaan, angering Agha Jee. Nazakat finds out that DJ cheated in school and has been thrown out, getting angry. Yasser gives Arsal the idea to fake an affair, which irritates Jiya. Jalal admits himself under false pretenses of a heart attack. Dar Jee visits him and is convinced.
Arsal and Jiya have a confrontation. Mithoo mistakes his mother for Maina and professes his feelings and gets beaten in return. Shahana, along with everyone else, gives a cold shoulder to Jiya. Bi Jaan convinces Dar Jee to let the women roam free in the house. Arsal saves Jiya from a live wire and has to be hospitalized. Jiya prays for his safety. Arsal returns home but their ego and communication problems continue. Jalal advises Pari to take Mithoo's proposal to Bi Jaan. Jiya finds out that Yusra is Arsal's friend and Shahana scolds him for it. Bi Jaan tries to convince Dariya Khan (Dar Jee) about Maina's wedding proposal. Shahana tries to make Jiya realise her feelings towards Arsal. Agha Jee, irked by Dariya Khan's flirtations, prepares to leave for London.
Jamshed hands Jiya her ticket for 4 days later but she becomes sad. Maina and Mithoo's wedding is fixed. Pari and Bi Jaan make up for past vitriol. Everyone prepares for the wedding. Shahana advises Jiya to speak her heart out with Arsal. They make up. Everyone celebrates at the wedding. Jiya says that she doesn't want to leave Arsal and go to UK but he has a surprise in store for her!
