Jeffrey Hunter stars in the title role of "Temple Houston," a full-hour Western dramatic series set against a backdrop of legal practice in the early American Southwest. Jack Elam co-stars. The stories are based on the adventures of Temple Houston, the son of Texas' famed Sam Houston. Temple Houston was a young lawyer who traveled through the Southwest before the circuit-riding judges of the post-Civil War period. Elam portrays a former gunfighter who has become a U. S. marshal. The setting is in the colorful period of land-grabs and squatters, when the most effective law was the rough- and-ready frontier variety.
