Brooke pulls back from the kiss with Nick; both are out of breath from their intense feelings. Nick tells Brooke that she can’t marry Ridge because her heart truly belongs to Nick and Baby Jack. Nick adds that he loves Brooke and wants her in his and their baby’s lives. Nick then asks Brooke if she wants that, too. After an intimate moment in his office with Donna, Eric receives a call informing him that Stephanie is in the building. Eric and Donna take this opportunity to continue their charade that their relationship is over by pretending to break up for good in front of Stephanie. Taylor breaks away from Rick’s kiss and asks him what he’s doing and if it was out of pity. Rick tells her it’s more than that and has an urge to kiss her again. Taylor tells Rick that she is still a married woman who is a lot older than him and who is his mother’s nemesis.
