Brooke tells Ridge about Taylor leaving Nick and that she is concerned because Taylor left Baby Jack behind. Ridge tells Brooke that this is not Brooke’s problem and she knows his position on the situation. Brooke tells Ridge that Jack needs a mother right now which makes Ridge asks Brooke if she thinks of herself as Jack’s mother. Later, Brooke tells Katie how Nick had asked her to leave Ridge and make a future with him and Jack. Katie is taken aback by this and recommends that Brooke stick with Ridge. Bridget pays Nick a visit and becomes emotional at seeing his interaction with Baby Jack, reminded of how life would have been if Nicole has survived. Nick tells Bridget of Taylor leaving him and his proposition to Brooke. Later during a visit, Nick reiterates his feelings to Brooke and she tells him that she has made a decision, searching her heart and soul, and knows what she has to do.
