During a flirtatious moment between Katie and Nick, Brooke enters and becomes suspicious of their involvement. The conversation quickly turns to Brooke’s concern about Jack’s welfare and her intent to convince Nick to not let Taylor have custody of their baby. Feeling alone without her child, Taylor is surprised by Rick who had his lawyers draw up custody papers for Nick to sign. Taylor and Rick pay a visit to Nick with the papers. Rick makes a plea to Nick, adding how he doesn’t trust Brooke’s intentions, to please relieve Taylor of the pain she has been going through while living without her baby. Ashley voices her appreciation to Ridge for warning her about Storm and then promises to keep the secret. Ridge admits to Ashley that he has always had a soft spot for her.
