Roscos Großonkel Hosiah stirbt und hinterläßt ihm ein Vermögen von 10 Millionen Dollar. Rosco engagiert den Kopfgeldjäger Jason Steele, um die Dukes ein für allemal hinter Gitter zu bringen. Boss versucht Rosco sein Vermögen abzunehmen, verliert aber selbst seinen gesamten Besitz in einem Pokerspiel. Rosco stellt daraufhin Boss aus Mitleid als Hilfssheriff ein. Steele gelingt es, Bo und Luke wegen Autodiebstahls festzunehmen, nachdem er einen zweiten General Lee bauen läßt und die Duke Boys aus Versehen mit diesem wegfahren. Nachdem Rosco feststellt, daß sein Onkel ihm nur 10 Dollar anstatt der 10 Millionen vermacht hat und Steele sein Kopfgeld von 100.000 Dollar für die Dukes haben will, muß Rosco die Dukes befreien und um Hilfe bitten, um sein Leben zu retten.
Rosco swindles Boss out of everything he owns but out of the goodness of his heart, lets Boss earn some money by hiring him as his deputy. Meanwhile, Uncle Jesse is in a coma after searching for the varmint Steele, who Bo and Luke are fuming against.
Late in the episode, Rosco's attorney returns, announcing that an inaccurate will had been read, and that Rosco inherited just $10 from his uncle. Rosco runs out of excuses when Steele conveniently shows up to demand his $100,000 payoff for framing the Dukes (with a phony General Lee).
Rosco dépossède Boss de ses biens mais lui permet de gagner de l'argent en l'engageant comme député. Oncle Jesse est toujours dans le coma.
Rosco riesce a sottrarre a Boss tutto ciò che possiede e poi lo assume come vice. Nel frattempo Jesse è in coma dopo aver cercato Steele, ma l'avvocato di Rosco torna con una sorpresa: il testamento era stato letto male e l'eredità reale ammonta a soli dieci dollari.
