Once again, Neri puts off her quest for the crystal, this time to save Zardor who is trapped in the Ancient Palace. Neri calls on the help of the Ancient Kings and Zardor is freed, but then they all become trapped. Neri contacts Mandrool who reminds Neri to use her mind power. Neri concentrates her mind and with the help of the Ancient Kings, they escape and take the second Sacred Stone to the King and Laziah.
After speaking with Jobah, Neri realises that he had been possessed by Galiel when she shared the secret location of the third crystal with him. She and Neanda swim off to the grand volcano.
Meanwhile, Elgar and Moza continue on their quest and stumble upon a large, blind Mole who is guarding the crystal.
Als Neri erfährt, dass Zardor in dem Verlies zurückgeblieben ist, verschiebt sie erneut die Suche nach dem Kristall und taucht hinab zur Alten Stadt. Sie findet das Verlies – und es gelingt ihr, sein Tor zu öffnen. Doch gerade als Zardor und sie mit dem Stein der Prophezeiung entkommen wollen, schließt sich die Pforte wieder. Jetzt ist auch Neri gefangen. Nur durch Mandrools telepathische Hilfe gelingt ihnen die Flucht. Moza und Elgar haben nach langer Suche den Kristall gefunden – doch so leicht können sie ihn nicht mitnehmen. Er wird bewacht. Als Neri wieder bei Jobah ist, bemerkt sie, dass er von Galiel besessen ist. Und jetzt ist ihr klar, dass Galiel alles weiß, was sie Jobah anvertraut hat. Also kennt er auch das Versteck des Kristalls. Neri muss sich beeilen, um Galiel zuvorzukommen.
