The New Mickey Mouse Club was a short-lived 1977 revival of the original 1950s Mickey Mouse Club. Produced for first-run syndication, the series featured new Mouseketeers, musical performances, comedy sketches, and themed segments. Despite Disney’s hopes to replicate the original’s success, it struggled to build an audience and ran until early 1979. Cast members included Lisa Whelchel (later of The Facts of Life), Allison Fonte, Shawnte Northcutte, and Billy “Pop” Atmore.
