Picard orders a saucer separation and regains control of the drive section. Meanwhile on the saucer section Lieutenant Logan (Wolverine) gets annoyed and kills most of the bridge crew and leaves Laforge in shock. Picard takes back control of the ship and punishes Laforge in the holodeck torture program "roots".
