Mirai "escorts" Yūki back home, and is reunited with her mother and father. One month later, Tokyo is well into recovery and reconstruction, but it is still clear that the city has been permanently changed. Mari visits Mirai, and returns her cell phone and Yūki's backpack. Mirai goes though her e-mail inbox, and finds a message from Yūki (sent from Mari's phone some time before he died) hoping that he can get a phone soon too so he can talk to his sister whenever they are not together. Mirai gives her mother the birthday present Yūki bought for her. In the end, Mirai, while watering the tree Yūki planted seen in episode 1, resolves to move on with her life, knowing that Yūki will always be in her heart. The ending credit montage shows life continuing in Tokyo.
Mirai e lo spirito di Yuki tornano a casa, dove si riuniscono con i suoi genitori. Lo spirito di Yuki lascia il mondo terreno. Un mese dopo Tokyo continua a riprendersi dal terremoto. Mari visita Mirai e le riporta il suo cellulare e lo zaino di Yuki. Mirai scopre una mail di Yūki che ha mandato prima della sua morte dal telefono Mari dicendo che sperava di poter avere anche lui un telefono in modo che potessero parlare anche quando erano lontani. Mirai dà alla madre il regalo che Yūki aveva comprato per lei per il compleanno. Mentre bagnal'ippocastano che Yūki aveva piantato, Mirai decide di andare avanti con la sua vita, sapendo che Yūki sarà sempre nel suo cuore.
ようやく到着した自宅。久しぶりの家族との再会。地震で多くを失った未来は心に空白を抱えたまま、時は過ぎていく。両親に挨拶に来た真理から、以前投げ捨てた携帯電話を手渡される未来。一ヶ月ぶりに電源をいれた携帯電話には、たくさんのメッセージが残されていた。
Мирай добирается до дома, где встречает свою маму; чуть позже вдвоём они навещают Сэйдзи в больнице. В конце каникул Мари навещает Мирай и отдаёт ей вещи, которые та оставила в больнице, в том числе телефон с последним сообщением от Юки.
Начинается новый учебный год, и Мирай отправляется в школу.
Mirai y Yuki vuelvan a casa, donde Mirai se reúne con sus padres y deja espíritu de Yuki. Un mes más tarde, Tokio sigue recuperándose del terremoto. Mari visita Mirai que regresa a su teléfono celular y la mochila de Yuki. Mirai encuentra un correo electrónico de Yuki que envió antes de su muerte desde el teléfono de Mari diciendo que esperaba que pudiera conseguir un teléfono demasiado para que pudieran hablar, incluso cuando estaban separados.
