Ausgerechnet bei einer Gedenkfeier zum ersten Jahrestag eines Amoklaufs am Gymnasium wird die Stadt mit einem nächsten Unglück in Angst und Schrecken versetzt. Die Ereignisse überschlagen sich, als Franka, die neue Polizeichefin der Stadt, sich mit ihren Ermittlungen selbst in große Gefahr bringt und Lisa verstörende Erscheinungen hat – aus dem Reich der Toten …

Together with her mother Franka (Marie Leuenberger), Lisa (Mina-Giselle Rüffer) moves to the remote town of Großstetten in the Black Forest. Above all, Franka, the town's new police chief, hopes the move will be a fresh start for her daughter. At her old school, the 17-year-old was bullied because of her panic attacks. Whilst Lisa cautiously gets in touch with her new classmates, she witnesses a gruesome suicide at the memorial service for the victims of a rampage at her school. Simon (Paul Ahrens), another student at Großstetten, is confronted by his parents: They have found out that he is gay. Simon's father Karl (Peter Jordan), pastor of a strict free church community, convinces his son to undergo conversion therapy. While Franka's investigation brings to light some unresolved questions about the suicide, the realm of the dead seems to reach out to Lisa. With her super-sensory gift, Lisa gets closer and closer to the mystery of the creepy apparitions.

Lisa emménage avec sa mère Franka à Großstetten, une ville isolée de la Forêt-Noire. Tandis que Lisa s’intègre prudemment au lycée, elle assiste à un suicide lors d’une cérémonie en mémoire d’une fusillade. Simon, un camarade, voit sa vie bouleversée lorsque ses parents découvrent son homosexualité ; son père Karl, pasteur rigoriste, l’oblige à suivre une thérapie de conversion. Pendant que Franka enquête sur les zones d’ombre entourant le suicide, Lisa, dotée d’un don extrasensoriel, se retrouve confrontée à des visions inquiétantes venues du royaume des morts.
