Germany built a drone that looks like an X-Wing and hits like a loitering munition in Ukraine. The US Army just put it through a live exercise called Flytrap in Lithuania, and what soldiers actually did with it tells you more about the future of drone warfare than any press release. The Helsing HX-2 logged an 88% hit rate at Project Flytrap. That number is quite good. But the real story is what happened when the other drones started failing. When the electronic warfare came on, soldiers abandoned their dedicated recon platforms and grabbed the X-Wing drone to do reconnaissance instead, because it was the only thing still flying.
