    On a winter holiday at a ski lodge, two cadets go for a day of cross-country skiing. The father of one of the boys crashes his small plane within a few miles of them and they reach him some time later. He's wounded next to the wreck, and a snow storm is whipping up. Their only hope of rescue lies with the radio skills of the boy's fellow cadet.
