Samantha möchte mit einigen Klassenkameraden einen Skiausflug machen. Leider kostet dieser Trip pro Person 250 Dollar. Tony hat das Geld natürlich nicht. Als Angela ihm dann ausgerechnet 250 Dollar für den Kaminkehrer gibt, steckt er es Samantha zu. Dass er den Kamin anschließend selbst zu reinigen versucht, ist keine so gute Idee: Sessel und Teppiche sind schwarz vor Ruß. Schließlich hat Angela Mitleid mit Tony – doch der ist zu stolz, von ihr Geld anzunehmen.
Tony fears he can't afford the ski club Samantha wants to join with her friends, but he lets her sign up anyway. When his attempt to economize by cleaning Angela's chimney himself fails, he must go back on his word and tell Samantha she cannot join. Refusing to borrow the money from Angela, Tony soon sells one of his prized possessions to be able to pay for Samantha's ski trip.
