  • S01E01 Oasis Hong Kong 747-400

    Hong Kong's new long haul carrier becomes the 189th airline in the World Air Routes series. In the cockpit of the B747-400 you will fly the airline's maiden route from Hong Kong to London and back. After a company presentation by the CEO, Flight Ops and Ground Ops Managers you'll descend from the mountain to CLK Airport in the cable car for some amazing views of the Airport. We then meet the crew who brief us on the flight are ready for takeoff in the cockpit of the 747-400. Both Captains give a very extensive presentation of the aircraft, the route, the operation and many other details pertaining to the airline and last, but certainly not least, we take to the sky for the first ever air to air footage of a 747 over the English coast!

  • S01E02 United 777-200

    United Airlines carries more than 87 million passengers a year on 2300 daily flights with more than 600 aircraft. United was the launch customer for the Boeing 777 on 15 Oct 1990 and became the first airline in the world to introduce the 777 into commercial service on 7 Jun 1995 from Washington Dulles to London Heathrow. United's Director of Flight Operations Control, Captain Eldridge, gives you a very in-depth look at the operation of the Boeing 777 between two of the largest and busiest International airports in the world. In detail you will see how the pilots prepare the flight before and after boarding the aircraft and find out how the state of the art cockpit works. Witness the takeoffs, landings, many nice views from the cockpit and much more....

  • S01E03 Vueling A320

    Vueling Airlines, based in Barcelona, operates low cost service on domestic routes within Spain as well as to many destinations around Europe. The airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320s. On this 3 hour program you will fly routes to 9 destinations in Spain as well as Belgium, France and Italy. All flights are filmed in the cockpit with the exception of the Palma to Barcelona sector which is filmed in the cabin. Other features on the dvd include a presentation by the CEO, a walkaround and a detailed 2 part cockpit presentation which lasts 43 minutes.

  • S01E04 Jetmagic

    This dvd features Cork based Jetmagic which operated a fleet of Embraer 135s and 145s until early 2004. The program take a close look at the operation of the Embraer regional jet. For more than half of the dvd Captain Carpenter and his copilot will give you one of the most complete guided tour of the cockpit as they fly the jet on 4 flights in and out of Cork, Edinburgh and London City Airport. If you run a flight simulator you will especially enjoy these flights as these pilots take you step by step through the motions of flying. This is followed by a roundtrip flight to Liverpool and Rome's Ciampino Airport. The last leg is flown in the cabin where we enjoy nice views our the window over the wings and the great and friendly service of Jetmagic.

    Azul, Brazil's new carrier, becomes the 216th airline to join the World Air Routes series and first program to feature the Embraer 195! This 4 hour DVD once again shows that Brazil is one of the most beautiful places around the world to fly around. Azul's great crews present this high tech aircraft in details. All Azul aircraft are equipped with HUD (Head Up Display) and for the 1st time ever you will actually see an approach through the HUD with pilot explanations!   • S01E06 South African Airways

    South African Airways, Africa's leading airline, operates a fleet of more than 50 modern aircraft including the A320, A340, B737 and B747. SAA, created in 1934, operates more than 1000 flights a week around the world has won many awards for its outstanding service! This dvd, previously released on video, features the A300 on a typical regional African flight to Zimbabwe. This is followed by several domestic flights on its most important route between Jo'burg and Cape town. During the arrival into Cape town on the 747SP we are allowed to make a scenic tour of this beautiful city. Last but not least we fly the 747-400 from Cape town on its busiest European route to London.

    Air France was a launch customer for the Airbus A380 and became the 1st airline in Europe to operate the aircraft in 2009! For the very first time you can take detailed look inside the Airbus A380 and discover what makes this aircraft so special and see what it takes to safely manoeuver an airplane this size. Air France Long Haul Airbus Fleet Manager personally presents the "super" to you from the time the crew reports at the airport to prepare the flight to the arrival at the destination gate. You will see what how involved it is to operate such a large aircraft and how advanced the A380 cockpit is. The purser also takes her time to talk about the A380 experience and presents the cabin operation. This fantastic program is nearly 5 hours long, filmed with 7 cameras!     You are in the cockpit for 2 departures and 2 arrival at Paro in both directions of the runway, pilots explain what the special procedure is. You will also fly to 5 of the airline's destinations in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Thailand and observe the BAe146 arriving and departing from the runway. Also included are view from around the country.

    SAS operates a fleet of around 140 aircraft to more than 100 destinations around the world! For long haul routes it uses a mix of Airbus A330s & A340s. On this program we follow and A340 on one of its US routes.

    For the 1st time in the fantastic Air Canada series you get to experience a program featuring domestic destinations within Canada! In addition this program was filmed in winter to allow you to discover the airline's winter operation including de-icing and other procedures used in cold weather and low visibility. The Embraer 190 is a very versatile aircraft as far as the routes it operates for Air Canada with short distance flights such as Toronto-Ottawa which lasts around 40 minutes and long distance flights such as Toronto-Kelowna which lasts close to 4 and a half hours! As you can see below we feature 3 sets of crews, including the Embraer Fleet Manager, with all pilots giving you the usual Air Canada treatment with continuous explanations and presentations!

    Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Seychelles islands operates a modern fleet of Boeing 737s and Boeing 767s around the world. On this dvd we fly from the airline's hub in Mahe to Europe on the Boeing 767-300 as well as to several destinations in the Indian Ocean on its brand new Boeing 737-700. We also discover some of the Seychelles islands as we fly domestic routes on the Twin Otter. The program includes a detailed presentation of the B767-300 cockpit, an external tour of the B737-700 as well as a brief tour of the Twin Otter. It also features a flight in the cabin of both the 737 and 767, an interview with the airline's executive Chairman and much more... In 2011 we're re-releasing this program digitlly re-mastered and re-authored!

    10 years after we first filmed Air Baltic on their Avro RJ70 and Fokker 50 we return to Riga for a new program as the airline has been under serious expansion in recent years. While this DVD includes the Fokker 50 it really focuses on the newly delivered Boeing 757s as well as on the fleet of Boeing 737-300 and 737-500. Besides a domestic flight within Latvia we take you on routes to Egypt, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the UK. A total of 15 flights are included in this 3 hour program, some great pilot presentations, some cabin footage and aircraft action from Riga Airport.

    Iberia, one of the Top 10 largest airlines in Europe, becomes the 220th airline to join the World Air Routes series. Fly in the cockpit of the A340-600 from the airline's hub at Madrid. For the 1st time in the series we fly to Peru where you will land and takeoff at Lima. Hosting the flight is Iberia's Vice-President of Flight Operations, Captain Genova. With his crew you will be introduced to the flight, get a cockpit presentation and walkaround. Another first with this program is a Spanish version in which the pilots do several presentations for our many Spanish viewers around the world.

    In 1996 we first filmed Turkish Airlines on an A340 to New York JFK. Now 16 years later we return to Istanbul to find a different company! Now one of the fastest growing airlines in the world with a modern fleet of nearly 200 airplanes service close to 200 destinations and winning all sorts of awards including the Best Airline in Europe! This program features the airlines' largest aircraft operating its nonstop service from Istanbul to Tokyo Narita. You will find fantastic pilots who present their aircraft, the route and operation in extreme details. You'll see how our crew gets their 777 on the ground in Narita when many diverted to other airports due to extreme winds and windshear.   • S01E27 Aer Arann ATR-42 & ATR-72

    Arann started operations in the 1970s with flights from Galway to the Aran Islands. Today the airline is one of the fastest growing regionals in the world with service throughout Ireland and the UK using a fleet of ATR42s and ATR72s. The dvd includes flights to 9 destinations in Ireland and the UK on both types of aircraft. You will be in the cockpit to witness approaches and landings at many interesting fields and one flight filmed from the cabin. Also included is an air to air chase of the ATR72 in Aer Arann's newest livery and last, but not least, is a flight on an Aer Arann Islands Islander covering 2 destinations operated by the airline subsidiary.

    Created in 1990, Aviacsa operates a fleet of Boeing 727 and 737 aircraft throughout Mexico and to various destinations in the US. From it's main hub at Mexico City's International Airport Aviacsa serves 16 destinations all across Mexico ; this includes flights to world famous resort destinations such as Acapulco and Cancun, both featured in this program. The 3 hour dvd company presentations, a look at the fleet in action, cockpit presentations of the 727 and 737, 2 flights in the cabin with view over the wings, a flight on the Boeing 727-200 equiped with winglets, lots of spectacular scenery as you fly to 9 destinations in Mexico and much more...

    Air Europe is one of Europe's finest airlines specializing in scheduled and charter flights to far away resort destinations. The first part of this program takes you on a transatlantic route as you fly from Italy to 2 destinations in Cuba with the Boeing 777-200ER while the second part is filmed on an African route as you fly from Italy to Kenya with the Boeing 767-300ER. Enjoy a total of 14 takeoffs and landings, information on the aircraft, routes, communications with Air Traffic Control, flight attendants at work in the cabin, spectacular scenery, a special section on Air Europe aircraft in action around the world and much more....   • S01E30 Canadian North 737-200

    Canadian North celebrated its independence in September 2002 and in February 2003 it unveiled the first aircraft painted with the new livery. The airline operates a fleet of Fokker 28s and Boeing 737-200s Combi aircraft equipped to land on gravel strips. This program was filmed with multi-cameras allowing you to see different views in the cockpit and/or views from the cabin at the same time.

  • S01E31 Cebu Pacific 757-200 & DC9

    Cebu Pacific, the Filipinos airline of choice, operates low cost service with a fleet of Boeing 757s on longer and busier routes as well as a dozen Douglas DC9-30s mostly on domestic routes. The airline has placed an order for Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft which will start replacing the fleet in 2005. This dvd is an opportunity to fly the DC9s and 757s on 9 domestic routes in the Philippines including the busy Manila-Cebu and Manila-Davao sectors. Flights are filmed in the cockpit and pilots give presentations of the aircraft throughout the program. A couple of these flights were filmed in the cabin with views over the wings on takeoff and landing.

  • S01E32 FlyBe - DH8-Q200-400 & BAE146 & CRJ

    Jersey European was formed in 1979 and introduced its first jet, the BAe146 in 1993 on routes from London to Belfast City and the Channel Islands. JE won several awards including "Best UK Regional Airline". In 1999 the airline purchased the CRJ and Dash 8 and changed its name to British European. This program features the 4 types in operations at the moment and takes us on 17 flights to 7 destinations in the UK as well as on routes to Belgium, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. The airline's Director of Flight Operations takes us on an in-depth tour of the facilities including reservations, operations and maintenance.

  • S01E33 Kuwait Airways A340

    We visited Kuwait Airways right after the airline celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2004 and will take you all around the operation at Kuwait Airport as well as in the cockpit of 4 types of aircraft on a number of routes. Because of the amount of footage we collected it was decided to release this program on 2 DVDs with more than 6 hours to enjoy! On the various flights to Beirut, Jeddah, Geneva and London Heathrow you will get many pilot presentations as well as some walkarounds, cockpit presentations and a lot more, On the ground you will visit a number of Kuwait Awys facilities including maintenance, catering, operations, training as well as receive presentations by several members of the airline's management team including the Chief Executive Officer.

  • S01E34 Norwegian 737-300

    Norwegian Air Shuttle, which has operated domestic services since 1993, started a low fare airline in September 2002 with a fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft serving 5 destinations. By the middle of 2004 that number had increased to around 25 with service to a dozen countries in Europe. The program takes you on one international flight to the French city of Grenoble and to a nice selection of domestic destinations in Norway with spectacular scenery and a very windy approach and landing at Alta! It includes a look at the 737 cockpit, an aircraft walkaround, briefings by the pilots, communications with Air Traffic Control, spectacular scenery over Norway and much more...

  • S01E35 Polar Air 747 "Round the World"

    Polar was formed in 1993 to operate worldwide scheduled cargo services. Since then it has been one of the fastest growing scheduled all-cargo airlines in the world operating a fleet of Boeing 747 freighters all over the world. This program, the longest single dvd we've produced, takes you from New York's JFK Airport around the world back to JFK in the cockpit of the 747-200 and 747-400. Pilots give you many different presentations, you will see them at work and listen to communications with ATC even witness a go-around on short final at Miami's International Airport.

    SkyEurope was the leading Central European low-cost airline. With bases in Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic, it was also the first multi-based airline in the region of Central Europe. The airline's fleet was composed of Boeing 737-500 and 6 Embraer 120 aircraft. This program takes you from one of Sky Europe's hubs, Bratislava, to 7 destinations in France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia and Switzerland.     When we first filmed Air Arabia in 2005 the airline was operating a few A320s to 15 destinations. We return now to find the airline having gone through a major fleet expansion and service 115 cities! The last program was 2 hours, filmed with 1 camera and featuring some great routes! This time the film is more than twice as long and filmed with 6 cameras not only for fantastic angles but the routes and destinations were picked to give you some amazing views and approaches into Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This is one of those must see programs with great pilots who continuously explain what is going on and present everything in details so you get to see and hear about their fascinating job!

  • S01E98 AOM DC-10

    AOM operated a large fleet of DC10-30 aircraft on long haul flights from Paris Orly to vacation destinations around the world. On this dvd we follow a DC10 flight from Paris to St Maarten and back to Paris via St Lucia. This program is a re-release of the Air Liberte DC10 video and is a unique opportunity to fly in the spacious cockpit of the Douglas aircraft while making an approach to the famous St Maarten Airport.

    Air Caraibes operates a fleet of modern Airbus A330s on transatlantic routes from Martinique and Guadeloupe to Paris. For domestic and regional Caribbean routes the airline uses Embraer Regional Jets, ATR and other aircraft which are all featured on this program. The dvd starts with a roundtrip transatlantic flight on the Airbus A330 from Fort de France to Paris' Orly Airport. You then fly the Embraer 145 to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and St Maarten's famous airport, that is followed by a spectacular hop on the Cessna Caravan from St Maarten to St Barth and the Dornier from St Barth to Point A Pitre.A very scenic flights around Guadeloupe on the Cessna and an ATR flight to St Martin's French side airport conclude this Caribbean dvd.

    The Air France Group is not only one of the largest airline groups in the world but Air France is also one of the largest operators of the Airbus A340 which are used for routes from its Paris CDG hub to North & South America, Africa and Asia. This program features a roundtrip from Paris on a Middle East route as well as on a route to South America, each very different types of operation. Our Flight Instructor and his crew will explain different features about each of these flights including cockpit set-up, route etc... We also witness Air France's fine in flight service and the usual dose of scenery including a superb approach to Cairo with views of the pyramids and flight over the Nile and the city.

    Germanwings, Lufthansa's low cost airlines and subsidiary of Eurowings, is based at the Cologne/Bonn International Airport. From there the airline operates daily flights to more than 20 destinations using a modern fleet of Airbus A319s and Airbus A320s. Germanwings continues to add new destinations on a continuous basis. In this program you will fly both types to a variety of destinations in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Pilots give ample flight information, cockpit presentation, external walkaround and much more with excellent views of the pilots during the important takeoff and landing maneuvers. Also included is a flight in the cabin, the usual World Air Routes scenery from above and a breathtaking air to air of the Airbuses specially filmed by Just Planes!

    Air Luxor was formed by the Mirpuri family in 1988. The company's network included more than 50 year-round and seasonal destinations. This dvd features Air Luxor's complete fleet including the Airbus A319 and A320 used on short and medium haul routes ; the Airbus A330 generally used on long haul routes and the Lockheed 1011 generally used for charters. Get an inside look in the cockpit of these aircraft including very extensive and detailed presentations of the A320.     Chalks is the world's oldest scheduled airline, founded in 1911. Today it operates a fleet of Grumman G-73 Turbine Mallards on routes between Florida and the Bahamas as well as charter flights that include scenic overflights of Miami. In 2005 World Air Routes returned to Florida to film a brand new program. A video was filmed and released in 2001 however none of that footage was used on this new dvd which features the airline's current routes between Florida and the Bahamas as well as a very special scenic flight around the Miami area.

    • January 1, 2005

    Oman Air operated its first flight to Salalah in March 1993 and since then has continually grown and expanded to many destinations. Recently the airline revamped its fleet with Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. This program takes you to some very interesting destination that are part of the Oman Air network. In the cockpit of the 737-700 we fly to Bombay then later to Dubai and Beirut. One of the sectors from Beirut to Dubai is filmed in the cabin. Yeti Airlines is one of the best newest domestic airlines in the Kingdom of Nepal. The airline commenced commercial flight operation on 21 September 1998. The company has come up with a broad objective of meeting domestic air transportation needs of domestic and foreign tourist passengers. The airline took delivery of its first Embraer 120 on October 9th 2000 and uses it mostly for mountain flights.

    Created in 1992, dba, was Germany's 2nd largest scheduled airline, operating a fleet of Boeing 737s. The airline offered a very extensive domestic German network with frequent flights between the cities of Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hanburgm Munich and Stuttgart. International service is operated to Malaga, Nice and Venice in addition to extensive charter services to many resort destinations mostly around the Mediteranian area. It was acquired by Air Berlin in August 2006, but continued to operate independently, marketed as Air Berlin (powered by dba) until being dissolved by Air Berlin on Nov 30, 2008. On this program we join 11 flights in the cockpit of the 737 on flights to all of the airline's scheduled domestic destinations in addition to Nice. We learn about the operation of the aircraft as we witness the crews at work before, during and after the various flights.

    Caravelle was the world's first jet-powered airliner developped for short to medium range service with a first flight in 1955 ; 50 years later the aircraft was retired from service. Luckily Just Planes filmed the classic plane in the late 90s in order to keep it alive! Gabon Express started operated scheduled jet and prop services to various destinations in Gabon from 1998 to 2004. . At the time this program was filmed Gabon Express was the last airline in the world to operate a Caravelle in scheduled passenger service making this dvd a very unique experience. On the first part of the program we position an empty Boeing 757 from Manchester to the RAF Brize Norton near London where we pickup military personnel on its way to Iraq. We then fly to the RAF base of Akrotiri in Cyprus where we stay overnight with the crew while another crew takes over for the roundtrip to Iraq. The following morning we pickup the aircraft for a return to Brize Norton and positioning to Manchester. Throughout the flights pilots keep us informed on the routes, approaches and more. We get a presentation of the 757 inside and out. Later we join 2 charter roundtrips from Manchester to Corfu and Paphos and end up the program at London's Gatwick Airport.
