北宋仁宗年间，汴京物阜民丰，声名远播天下。洛阳富户郦娘子举家远迁汴京，一为投奔早嫁的二女福慧，二为解决一桩陈年心事。郦娘子一生最得意的事便是有五位如花似玉的千金，可惜大娘寿华青春守寡、无心再嫁；三娘康宁性情泼悍，人送诨名胭脂虎；四娘好德脾气憨直、口无遮拦；五娘乐善娇宠过甚、眼高于顶。女儿们皆因美貌才情闻名洛阳，婚事却久难成就，
