Weggestopt in hun cel, krijgen vrouwen in Nederlandse gevangenissen te maken met misbruik op allerlei niveaus. Intimidatie, pesterijen, het onthouden van goede medische zorg, seksueel grensoverschrijdend gedrag, aanranding en zelfs verkrachting. In de nieuwe Videoland Original documentaire 'Zitten en Zwijgen' duikt Jessica Villerius met haar team in de verhalen van deze vrouwen, die nooit werden gehoord. 'Zitten en Zwijgen' is vanaf 26 juni te streamen bij Videoland.
