يسافر (هشام) في بعثة دراسية إلى الخارج، وسرعان ما يتأقلم مع حياته الجديدة، إلا أنها تصبح معقدة بسبب صراعه الداخلي بين التمسك بأصوله وعاداته وتقاليده العربية، أو الانغماس في الثقافة الغربية ونسيان جذوره وعدم العودة إلى الوطن.
