Diego's uncle, Estevan de la Cruz, arrives in Los Angeles for an unannounced visit and surprises the de la Vegas when he tells them he plans to be their house guest. Furthermore, he expects them to give a lavish party to welcome him. All of this angers Don Alejandro, but to head off a family dispute, Diego convinces his father that Estevan will leave soon.
His good intent proves to be a problem for Diego when Estevan later offers to sell several jewels to his friends. Estevan claims to have bought them in Spain, but Diego realizes the gems are fakes and that if sold, could bring shame on his family name. To prevent this, he tells Bernardo to steal the fakes, only to find they're already missing.
Zorro captures the thieves and keeps the fake jewels so Estevan cannot swindle his friends. The thieves are turned over to Sergeant Garcia and Diego thinks the matter is settled, but Estevan has decided there is money to be made in Los Angeles and announces that he plans to extend his stay.
L'oncle Estevan, le frère de la mère de Diego, est arrové en ville à bord d'une superbe voiture, déclenchant jalousie et convoitise chez un grand nombre d'habitants. A commencer par le sergent Garcia, qui décide d'avoir le nouvel arrivant à l'oeil et qui ne tarde pas à découvrir ses coupables activités...
Estevan de la Cruz megérkezik Los Angelesbe és bejelenti, hogy beköltözik a de la Vega haciendára. Garcia hiába ellenkezik, de amikor apa és fia hazaérkezik, akkor derül ki, hogy a látogató és a háziak rokonok. Don Estevan nemes egyszerűséggel veszi rá a házigazdákat, hogy bált adjanak a tiszteletére, ahol Don Alejandro észreveszi, hogy Don Estevan gyémántokat mutogat a vendégeknek. Nem marad más választásuk, Zorrót hívják segítségül, aki, bár későn érkezik és Don Estevantól már elrabolták a köveket, de Zorro leleplezi őket. A bál végén Estevan bejelenti, hogy kéretlenül bár, de Los Angelesben marad.
Lo zio di Diego, Estevan de la Cruz, arriva a Los Angeles per una visita a sorpresa ai De La Vega. Egli pretende che venga organizzata una festa per accoglierlo e Don Alejandro, nonostante non goda di ottimi rapporti con Estevan e la famiglia della moglie in generale, lo accontenta convinto anche da Diego sulla breve durata della sua visita. Durante la festa Estevan mostra delle pietre false agli amici dei De La Vega dicendo di averle acquistate in Spagna e Diego realizza che ciò avrebbe potuto causare molta vergogna alla sua famiglia e quindi, per prevenire questo, ordina a Bernardo di rubare i gioielli, ma Esevan si rivela più abile del servitore. Zorro interviene ma quando entra nella stanza dello zio le pietre sono già state rubate. L’eroe mascherato insegue i banditi, li consegna al Sergente Garcia e si tiene i gioielli falsi. Nonostante questa esperienza lo zio Estevan dichiara di apprezzare Los Angeles e di voler prolungare la sua permanenza nell’hacienda De La Vega.
