An den Erfolg von „Männerwirtschaft“, wo sich die Autoren offensichtlich großzügig bedient hatten, konnte „Zwei Mann um einen Herd“ nicht anknüpfen. Günther Pfitzmann gibt den Schauspieler Rudi, der sich zusammen mit seinem Manager Walter (Walter Hoor) eine Wohnung teilt. Nach nur vier Episoden wurde die chaotische Männer-WG wieder aufgelöst.
