Friedrich Dönhoff travels to five regions of France and meets five crime writers whose books act as travel guides for Germans. This view of the peculiarities of the respective places enables sympathetically subjective experiences that can be surprising not only with regard to the murder cases described but also have many discoveries to offer in terms of food and the cultural offerings of the regions.
