Cicely Tyson

Cecily Louise Tyson was in her early thirties when she began her career, her major breakthrough was as the star of the1972 film Sounder. Throughout her life she starred in more than 100 film, television and stage productions, and at 88 she became the oldest person to win a Tony Award for her performance in The Trip to Bountiful in 2013.
