24 years ago, Stefano de Pieri left his home near Venice in Italy to head for Australia. Absolutely passionate about food and wine, he's now head-over-heels in love with the Sunraysia district of Victoria. A self-taught cook reliant on the instinct, skills and simple way of cooking that he inherited from his mother, he provides an insight into the superb regional cuisine in the communities he explores along the Murray River as he encourages locals to share their cooking knowledge.
