喬花枝（陳慧珊飾）本是一名幼稚園教師，性格樂觀開朗，與母親和後父一直過著和諧的生活，直至有一天，收到一封律師信內容是要她繼承生父江耀柱（劉江飾）在南丫島上一間名叫百里鮮的海鮮館的51％股權，並與她素未謀面的同父異母弟江上遊（林峯飾）相見。百里鮮本是島上著名食肆，但自柱患病後，不再勝任大廚，生意從此一落千丈。枝為扭劣勢，於是尋找傳說中的廚師馬友（吳啟華飾）重出江湖。但友因情傷，無法享受烹飪樂趣而退隱，後為報柱的知遇之恩，遂答允枝到百里鮮當大廚一年。三人走在一起後，即產生微紗變化。突然曾令友情傷的舊情人蘇眉（滕麗名飾）再次出現及同學藝於廚界殿堂人物「廚皇」門下的龍賜新（馬德鐘飾）挑戰，並以百里鮮的生死存亡亦牽連在內……
