Japan is in an unprecedented rush to build hotels in preparation for 2020. Foreign tourists are surprised by Japanese hotels. Japanese hotels continue to uniquely evolve with business hotels and capsule hotels that pursue low prices and comfort, excessively luxurious breakfasts, and the ultimate hospitality. Are Japanese hotels cool or not cool for foreigners? We investigate the latest state of affairs surrounding Japanese hotels from the perspectives of foreigners.
