Nach all den aufregenden Wochen ist Hugo endlich wieder zu Hause im Dschungel. Nur seine Freundin Rita fühlt sich gar nicht wohl. Hugo macht ihr klar, dass im Dschungel alle füreinander da sind und sich stets helfen. Als ein Unbekannter auftaucht, ein biestiger Jaguar, kann Hugo unter Beweis stellen, dass die Dschungelbewohner tatsächlich füreinander einstehen.
Jungo's back where he's born, meets his old friends, the monkeys Zik and Zak, but Rita doesn't feel welcome. The place is full of unknown dangers too, but Jungo tries to make her believe that "The Spirit of the Jungle" makes sure that most animals help each other to survive. A newcomer, the jaguar Sharpclaws, is a perilous disturber of peace. Jungo develops his "Spirit of the Jungle"-idea, and gathers all his friends to carry out a sly, masterly trick that chases Sharpclaws away, convinced about the danger of "The Spirit". Rita's beginning to feel she's among friends...
