Living On Key West Time

Howard talks with Capt. Ricky Tomer, a 4th generation Key West Shrimper on the docks of Stock Island. Howard visits the Hogfish Bar & Grill where owner Bobby Mongelli shows him how to put together a Shrimp Boil with Key West Pinks and Florida Lobster. Learn how easy it is to prepare for your next BBQ. Next, Howard saddles up to the Hogfish Bar, where mixologist Patty Wacker mixes up a Mai Tai fit for a Pirate. It has transforming results on Howard! In Pirate mode, Howard visits a fun Key West event, Pirates in Paradise, as they enthusiastically re-enact battles in full costume complete with Cannons and Muskets. Next, up is Key West’s largest annual event, Fantasy Fest, which draws close to 70,000 people to this island town. Howard is a judge at the Headdress Ball contest and chats with emcee Bruce Moore. Then Howard takes in the premier costume competition, Pretenders in Paradise event filled with dazzling costume constructions, some of which can later be seen to frolic down the street in the light hearted Masquerade March. Closing the episode and the 10 day festival, Howard as Parade Grand Marshal and the Mile Marker 24 band perform “Living On Key West Time”, traveling down Duval Street on a Float in the Fantasy Fest Parade.
