PROGRAMME FROM COUNTY WATERFORD On Nationwide this evening, we visit Mahon Falls, an area of outstanding beauty in Co. Waterford, beneath the slopes of the Comeragh Mountains. This spectacular 80 metre waterfall is a great draw for visitors to the area and it’s a great place to start our tour of this part of mid County Waterford. We meet the locals including those who are promoting the area for tourism and we drop in on Lord Waterford at his home in the Curraghmore Estate, in the village of Portlaw. Plus we see the efforts that are being made to highlight the heritage of this one thriving industrial town. COMERAGHS WILD FESTIVAL/REPORT HELEN MCINERNEY Ardmore Adventures in County Waterford will take you hiking through the Comeragh Mountains and bring you abseiling down the spectacular Mahon Falls. Reporter Helen McInerney witnessed some brave souls, with a determination to conquer their fear of heights, take on the challenge.
