How To Spot for Yourself - Tips and Techniques

Tips for spotting your own shots at long range. The shooter must maintain a natural point of aim so he doesn’t completely lose sight of the target after recoil. Avoid using too much magnification while shooting as your field of view will be limited. Seeing your own bullet trace will be more difficult at higher power settings due to loss of target view during recoil. Also, being comfortable with the rifle and maintaining the fundamentals of marksmanship will enable the shooter to properly follow through with the shot making observation of trace and impacts much easier.
