ある日、400年後の未来からやってきた高性能ヒト型ロボット 時沢エータ（宮舘涼太）。彼のミッションは、漫画編集者 “神尾くるみ（臼田あさ美）を守ること”。実は、くるみを巻き込んだ事件が起きそうだと察知したレオが、くるみを護るためにエータと送り込んできたのだ。エータはアルバイトとしてくるみが働いている少女漫画の編集部で働くようになり、令和の人間社会について学んでいく。同時に、くるみとの日常を通して、“恋とは何か”も学んでいくが…？一方のくるみは、仕事との向き合い方、誰かと共に生きていく事の意味など新たな発見をしていくことに！それぞれに困難が襲い掛かってくる中で、エータはくるみを守りぬけるのか？そして、ミッションを終えたロボットは最後どうなるのか？
