Earlier in August, as the chart-topping pop-stars embarked on the final UK leg of their exhaustive gig schedule, news broke that Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne would be going on an 'extended hiatus' in 2016 to focus on solo work. The announcement prompted the hearts of Directioners worldwide to skip a beat, fearing the boys might be about to split for good, but the group has since insisted that this is not the end for One Direction.
