The New Adventures of Batman is an animated series produced by Filmation in 1977 featuring the DC Comics superheroes Batman and Robin, and Batgirl. In The New Adventures of Batman, the "Dynamic Duo" fights crime in Gotham City, encountering the classic Batman rogues gallery as well as some original villains. Complicating matters is Bat-Mite, a well meaning imp from another dimension called Ergo, who considers himself Batman's biggest fan. As a result, he wears a variant of Batman’s costume and attempts to help him, only to often create more problems (although he is occasionally an asset). Missing is Alfred, the faithful butler of Batman's alter ego Bruce Wayne.
Batman, Robin et Batgirl, les 3 superhéros de Gotham, prêtent toujours main forte à la police du Commissaire Gordon, sous leurs identités masquées et bardés de leurs formidables gadgets et véhicules, et combattent les pires des supervilains, tantôt leurs ennemis les plus incontournables comme le Joker et le Pingouin, tantôt de nouveaux étranges et improbables adversaires...
Dans leur lutte éternelle contre le crime, nos héros sont dorénavant aidés de Bat-Mite, une étrange créature venue d'une autre dimension, qui se considère comme le plus grand fan de Batman et porte à ce titre un costume parodiant quelque peu celui du superhéros. Malheureusement, Bat-Mite, malgré sa bonne volonté, est plus souvent un poids qu'une aide véritable !

Dando sequência as aventuras animadas do Homem-Morcego que haviam sido canceladas em 1968, a Filmation Associates resolveu resgatar Batman e seu fiel Menino Prodígio, que estavam fazendo sucesso na série Super-Amigos e atuando como convidados especiais de Scooby-Doo (através dos estúdios Hanna-Barbera) e lançou As Novas Aventuras de Batman.
O desenho foi originariamente apresentado nos Estados Unidos, a partir do dia 10 de fevereiro pela rede CBS, sendo exibido junto com episódios de Superman/Superboy antigos. Em 1979, a série foi reorganizada em episódios de 30 minutos cada, sem o Superman/Superboy e recebeu o nome de The Adventures of Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder.

Deshalb trägt er eine Variante von Batmans Kostüm und versucht, ihm zu helfen, schafft damit aber oft nur noch mehr Probleme (obwohl er gelegentlich eine Bereicherung ist). Alfred, der treue Butler von Batmans Alter Ego Bruce Wayne, fehlt.
