When Danny Doornbos signs a contract with FC Heros, the lives of the eight main characters are turned completely upside down. Together with his girlfriend Renske, he moves to Amsterdam. As a new players’ wife, Renske struggles to find her place. She soon receives help from Solange, who knows perfectly how to handle the press and deal with pushy female fans. Danny’s arrival also demotes Italo from star striker to backup forward. Club icon Jeffrey is even told he would be better off looking for another team—a nightmare for his media-hungry wife, Melanie. Liz also faces the downsides of Danny’s appointment: she sees her dream go up in smoke.
Solange tries to sell the underwear line that Italo had designed to various retail chains and, to her own surprise, succeeds quite well. Melanie is extremely jealous of the close bond between Jeffrey and his first wife, Dylan’s mother. She doesn’t trust the situation when he accompanies Natasja to a Playboy photoshoot. Liz is delighted with the riding stable Arjan has bought for her, though she is less pleased with the stablehand that comes with it. Renske, for her part, mainly struggles with her pushy neighbor, who shows up at the most inconvenient times.
Renske tries to get her life back on track after escaping a bomb attack. She is frustrated that every detail of her life is splashed across the newspapers. Despite the fact that Natasja has breast cancer, Melanie cannot bear that Jeffrey maintains a close bond with his ex-wife. In a cunning way, she tries to fill Jeffrey’s time as much as possible. Liz strikes out with Arjan, who is more interested in the lineup of Hero than in his wife. At the riding school, she meets Rosanne, a lesbian who makes it clear from the very first lesson that she is more than fond of Liz. Meanwhile, Solange runs into her parents in the city.
After discovering a camera in the bedroom, Renske no longer feels safe and calls the police. Melanie uses all her charms to help Jeffrey regain a starting position. Her plan works, but it is overshadowed by a phone call from Dylan, who informs her that Natasja has suffered a hemorrhage and is dying. Liz misses the match and goes out to dinner with Rosanne. Upon returning home, she catches Arjan on the couch with the very young Jamie. Solange has had enough of Italo’s temper tantrums and, together with Melanie, looks for a way to temper his outbursts.
After Natasja’s funeral, Dylan moves in with Jeffrey and Melanie. His stepmother quickly notices that Rowena, his girlfriend, is showing a little too much interest in his father. Renske feels that Danny no longer understands her and increasingly seeks support from Falco, her best friend and stylist. Liz has found a good friend in Rosanne and shares with her the big secret about Arjan. Solange gives her boyfriend multiple sedatives daily to keep his aggression under control, but it is mainly his libido that suffers.
Renske feels useless after being fired from the care home for mentally disabled individuals. Danny’s well-intentioned pampering only makes her feel worse. Italo’s mother has moved in with her son and his girlfriend to take care of him, seizing every opportunity to make Solange feel like she is not a good partner. Jeffrey has an affair with Rowena but is caught by Melanie, who takes revenge with Dylan. Jamie makes a shocking confession to Liz.
Melanie tries to pick up the pieces of her marriage as best she can, but for Jeffrey, there is only one solution: a divorce. Danny tries to hide his gambling addiction from Renske, but his generous gifts make her suspicious. Solange panics when she cannot find her dog, Duschi. An anonymous call from the kidnapper, combined with Italo’s heartless reaction, sends her into a full-blown hysteria. Liz doesn’t want Arjan to continue deceiving himself and her, and she goes to great lengths to earn his trust.
Solange is overjoyed after being reunited with her dog, Duschi, and everyone can read about it in the newspapers. Jeffrey receives an offer to play two seasons in Bahrain for a huge salary. Despite Renske’s aversion to the idea, she and Danny still sell their marriage to a television network so that his gambling debts can be paid off. Arjan refuses to give in to his blackmailer, who wants to sell his photos as a cross-dresser to the press.
Arjan cannot prevent his photos from being published. The chairman of Heros demands his resignation. Italo refuses to be coached by a cross-dresser and calls for a player revolt, but Arjan has no intention of stepping down without a fight. Renske feels disgusted after her bachelorette party and can no longer be intimate with Danny. The other women give her as many tips as possible. Solange’s dog, Duschi, is invited to a fashion fair in Milan— the perfect opportunity for Solange to stand on her own two feet.
Arjan has committed suicide. The funeral is a unique experience: Italo is the only absent Heros player, and Jamie reveals that she is the coach’s daughter. The women are concerned about Liz and take turns visiting her to distract her from her thoughts. But Liz is not the only one in need of support: Solange has left Italo. The new coach creates tension within the team, threatening the careers of Jeffrey, Italo, and Danny. The footballers’ wives do everything they can to prevent this.
The bizarre but fatal car accident of football coach Harry Reitsma continues to trouble players’ wife Renske. Her suspicions grow when Melanie insists that she keep quiet about the entire affair. Melanie is in a foul mood, largely due to a visit from her younger sister, Madonna. On top of that, the fact that her husband Jeffrey remains only an assistant coach at Heros is a major setback for the media-hungry Melanie. Her makeover by Mari van de Ven also ends in complete disaster. Meanwhile, Solange is beaming since launching a clothing line for dogs. She earns a good income, and her boyfriend Italo is as docile as a lamb. Nevertheless, the blonde sets plenty of seductive traps for the footballer.
Renske is willing to remain silent with the police about Reitsma’s death. However, she insists that all the players’ wives make a donation to Levensvreugde, the institution where the intellectually disabled son of the late Heros coach resides. Both Renske and Solange encourage their husbands to accompany them when they hand over the cheque—one motivated by the children, the other by positive publicity. Meanwhile, Jeffrey also learns that Melanie is culpable in Reitsma’s death and decides to accept the club’s offer in Bahrain, finally freeing himself from her lies. Solange also obtains proof that Italo is still not to be trusted. The teenage daughter of head coach Carolus, Tessa, has a crush on Dylan, but the young footballer is not interested.
Rutger and Liz are spending more and more time together. Melanie has been a wreck since Jeffrey abandoned her—until she sees his teenage son Dylan shine on the field. At that moment, she decides to become the manager of the underage footballer. Solange doesn’t trust the attractive daughter of the housekeeper who comes to clean, so she has her criminal brother install video cameras in the house. Will Italo remain faithful, or will he succumb to temptation? Renske knows that Danny is frustrated because he is still injured, and she tries to cheer him up. However, their outing is immediately picked up by the press. Melanie is furious when her sister Madonna buys the villa next door to hers.
Injured Danny faces a tough period as Heros controls every aspect of his rehabilitation, from knee exercises to diet, meditation, and even his sex life. Italo, unaware that Solange installed cameras in their villa, proves his “manhood” to the housekeeper, triggering Solange’s fury but a call from her mother gives her the perfect plan for revenge. Rutger falls deeper for Liz but doubts her intentions: is she truly happy, or after Arjan’s inheritance? Melanie is jealous of her son Diego’s bond with Aunt Madonna, and chaos ensues when Diego receives a real piano and plays the Heros club song. Their performance before an FC Heros match goes disastrously wrong after Melanie indulges in one too many drinks.
Solange’s parents’ caravan is still parked in the driveway of Italo’s villa. The footballer is extremely annoyed by the noisy visitors but has to endure them for now. Liz has purchased a sailing yacht with the profits from her riding school and celebrates with a party. Melanie is in a terrible mood after her performance turned into a complete fiasco, and on top of that, her stepson Dylan has fallen in love with a prostitute. If the press finds out, the young footballer’s career could be ruined. Danny is focused solely on his rehabilitation, leaving Renske feeling neglected and seeking attention from the charming striker Gio.
Solange is busy organizing her wedding, but it’s uncertain if she will ever be able to say “I do” to Italo. Her father insists that Italo formally ask for her hand a demand that proves the proverbial last straw for the footballer. Liz hosts a poker tournament on her sailing yacht and invites Solange’s mother as guest of honor. The woman becomes completely absorbed in the game, even wagering her caravan. Meanwhile, Renske organizes a beach volleyball tournament with the Heros players to benefit the intellectually disabled. Danny cannot participate and vents his frustrations on Renske, prompting her to seek comfort in the arms of Gio.
Solange is nervous because her wedding planning is not going smoothly, but her stress peaks when her criminal brother Mickey hides cocaine in the villa. Renske is also shaken her pregnancy test comes back positive, and she doesn’t know if the baby is Danny’s. She feels completely lost, and this time her friends cannot help her. Danny discovers the news and is over the moon. Meanwhile, Melanie follows in the footsteps of Linda de Mol and prepares the first issue of her own magazine. She hopes to recruit actress and presenter Froukje de Both for a feature, but to her frustration, her name doesn’t open doors for everyone. Liz meets an intriguing man.
Italo has had Solange’s parents’ caravan towed away to the railroad right near the entrance of the Schiphol tunnel. She is furious and, as punishment, calls off their wedding, much to the disappointment of the macho footballer. Melanie also feels miserable after seeing a magazine photo of Jeffrey with a stunningly beautiful, very young model. Determined to prove she is still sexy, she embarks on a pitiful pub crawl. Liz seems to have found her man: lunch with Oberon leaves her wanting more, and she accepts his invitation to dine with his parents. Pregnant Renske continues to care for the single mother she accidentally hit. Rutger Carolus, Heros’ coach, loses his temper when he catches his teenage daughter Tessa in the locker room with one of his players.
Melanie has been admitted to a rehabilitation clinic, and the temptation to give up is strong. Yet, the fact that Jeffrey believes in her becomes her main motivation to tackle her drinking problem. Madonna and Solange are curious about the man in Liz’s life and seize the first opportunity to meet him. Irma shamelessly takes advantage of Renske and Danny’s money and care, but they are no longer willing to be blackmailed. Although Italo has apologized to Solange’s father, it remains uncertain whether their wedding will take place. Their friends and loved ones don’t worry about that they treat the couple to an unforgettable bachelorette party.
Renske still hasn’t told her husband that she is likely pregnant by his teammate Gio, but she realizes the conversation can no longer be postponed she is due in two months. Solange also feels far from happy in the ménage à trois she has become part of after leaving Italo at the altar. She could strangle his legal wife, the very young Tessa, but for now refuses to leave the villa. Madonna, on the other hand, packs her bags. She’s had enough of solving her sister Melanie’s problems and being insulted in return.
The heavily pregnant Renske is a wreck because Danny still refuses to see her. She feels trapped and lonely in her large house and even considers returning to her parents. Solange, on the other hand, sees life through rose-colored glasses. Knowing that Italo has not slept with Tessa, she is confident that the footballer will soon be completely hers again. Liz has already captured the heart of her nobleman, but it remains uncertain if she is ready for marriage. Meanwhile, the police suspect Jokke, the chairman of Heros, of being involved in a bribery scandal and take him into custody.
Now that Solange is married to Italo, she no longer pays much attention to her figure the prize is secured. This frustrates the macho footballer, who notices his wife getting rounder by the day. Tensions also rise between Danny and Renske; she even decides to leave him and moves in with Gio, bringing her son Levi. During a sexy photoshoot at Heros, Danny meets the mysterious makeup artist Kate and feels instantly attracted to her. Diego pretends to still be in a coma, prompting Melanie to consider euthanasia. Meanwhile, football coach Rutger finally decides to propose to Liz…

Madonna accuses Melanie of not taking proper care of Diego and wants to take the boy in herself. Makeup artist Kate is unpleasantly surprised by Alex, a director from her past. The young football talent Kofi befriends Diego. Melanie decides to capitalize on the situation and immediately begins negotiations with Jokke.
Madonna takes Diego home when it becomes clear that Melanie can no longer pay the energy bills. Makeup artist Kate moves in with her lover Danny. She should be walking on air, but the fact is that she is still being blackmailed by porn director Alex, who demands money for the unfinished film. Heros gets a new chairman, Russian oil billionaire Oleg, who wants his wife Oksana to be included in the footballers’ wives’ circle and goes to great lengths to make it happen. Ton wants a grandson for his birthday, which makes Solange and Italo start thinking about having a baby.
Melanie and Madonna receive an entirely unexpected visit from their father. Heros coach Rutger has not been himself since Liz’s death. Oksana recommends vodka to him, claiming the drink helps with everything. Kofi becomes Heros’ new star player. Kate decides to participate in Alex’s new film. Mickey has a new girlfriend, Roswita, who also shows a surprising amount of interest in Solange.
Oksana is furious about a report on RTL Boulevard, which featured a provocative photo of her and questioned her abilities as club chairman. Seeking revenge, she takes over Rutger’s training sessions for a week. Her secret strategy allows the footballers to perform at their peak, with Gio particularly impressing. Kate manages to extract a confession from porn director Alex. Danny is relieved, but attention around Kate doesn’t subside, and he tries to forget his worries with cocaine. Italo wants a threesome after discovering Solange kissed Roswita. Melanie reconciles with her father, putting Madonna out of the picture. When Dirk suddenly passes away, Melanie seeks comfort with Kofi.
Solange discovers Italo’s savings in the wardrobe and becomes terrified of burglars. She is determined to find a safe place for the huge sum, as Italo no longer trusts banks since the credit crisis. Kate’s porn clip is still circulating online. Danny is very upset by this and cannot function without cocaine. He hides it from Kate but behaves hyper and agitated. Diego feels betrayed because Melanie has started a relationship with Kofi and has moved in with his aunt Madonna. Oksana refuses to cheat and goes to great lengths to avoid Gio.
Solange is at her wits’ end after accidentally blowing up Italo’s savings. She needs to come up with half a million quickly, but this time she cannot rely on her family’s help. A few hours later, however, her father and brother change their minds and take action. They kidnap Russian oil billionaire Oleg, hoping to demand a ransom of one million. Solange loses control when she learns the full story. Meanwhile, Oleg’s wife Oksana spends passionate hours with footballer Gio. Melanie reveals her romance with Kofi to the public, but chaos erupts when it turns out he is underage. Diego is confused by Aunt Madonna, who buys him girls’ clothes and wants to put makeup on him…
Danny is accused of rape. He is said to have assaulted a woman named Lisa at a Heros party, but he remembers nothing due to excessive alcohol and cocaine. Madonna seems completely unhinged, seeing her deceased daughter Daphne in Diego and locking him in her house. Solange’s father and brother have kidnapped Oleg and are demanding a ransom of one million. Solange finds this horrifying but sees no other way to recover Italo’s blown-up savings. Meanwhile, Oksana continues her passionate encounters with Gio, seemingly undeterred even after learning that her husband Oleg has been kidnapped…
Solange cannot bring herself to get rid of Oleg. Oksana decides to “rescue” him and take him home, while waiting for her chance to finish him off. Kate cannot forget Danny’s fling with the flight attendant and sees only one solution to her problem: to have an affair herself. Melanie and Kofi want to free Diego from the clutches of the unhinged Madonna. No moment too soon, as the teenager has been tied to a chair in a dress by his crazy aunt…
Oksana buys a weapon, fearing that Oleg will try to kill her and Gio. The paranoia consumes them, and they see and hear Oleg everywhere. Meanwhile, the Russian oil billionaire sets his sights on Solange, trying to convince her to marry him. Melanie and Kate are nominated for Most Stylish Glamour Woman of the Year. For Kate, the award holds little importance; she wants to give her life a meaningful turn and decides to leave the fashion world behind.
Melanie wants to prepare her wedding with Kofi, until his family arrives and she discovers he has been promised to a Ghanaian girl. Gio thinks Oksana has a shopping addiction. She denies the problem and promises to spend only 50 euros for the week, but when she sees a beautiful dress in a shop window, she decides to steal it. Kate wants to contribute to a good cause and asks Kofi’s family if she can help in their village in Ghana. Exciting times also lie ahead for Danny, as Real Madrid wants to buy him.
