Nach Honokas Zusammenbruch wird das Konzert von µ's auf dem Schulfest abgebrochen. Ein paar Tage später erfährt die nun wieder gesunde Honoka von Eli, dass µ's sich von der Teilnahme am Love Live! zurückgezogen hat. Honoka kommt wieder zur Schule, doch ohne das Ziel, auf das Love Live! hinzuarbeiten, wirkt sie nicht sehr enthusiastisch. In der Zwischenzeit beschließt die Schule wegen der drastisch gestiegenen Zahl voraussichtlicher neuer Schüler, im nächsten Jahr noch Schüler aufzunehmen. Die Idol-Forschungsgruppe veranstaltet zu diesem Anlass eine Feier, doch während der Feier enthüllt Umi etwas Schockierendes...
As Honoka recovers from her fever, she becomes depressed when the others tell her they've withdrawn their entry from Love Live, which is inevitably won by A-Rise. After Honoka recovers and is eventually cheered up by the others, the group are pleased to learn that the school has gathered enough applicants to stay open for another year. Meanwhile, Kotori still hasn't brought herself to tell Honoka about the decision she had made. Unable to let her keep it a secret any further, Umi announces to the others that Kotori will be leaving in two weeks to study fashion abroad. As Honoka questions Kotori about why she never told her, she learns she was intending to tell her following the live performance, but got put off following her accident. Honoka then becomes deperessed, feeling guilty for not noticing her feelings due to her focus on Love Live. The group suggest putting on one more live performance before Kotori leaves, but Honoka doesn't see the point in continuing and says she wants to quit being a school idol, prompting Umi to become angry and slap her.

穂乃果が倒れたことで中止となってしまったμ'sの学園祭ライブ。
数日後、療養中の穂乃果は、絵里からμ'sの「ラブライブ！」エントリー辞退を
知らされる。
やがて学校に復帰した穂乃果であったが、「ラブライブ！」という目標を失い
いつもの調子が出ない。
一方、彼女達の活動で音ノ木坂学院の入学希望者は急増し、
来年度の新入生募集が決定。
アイドル研究部は学園存続を祝うパーティーを開くが、
その最中、海未の口から衝撃の事実が明かされ……！
호노카는 결국 무대에서 쓰러져 며칠 동안 심하게 감기를 앓게 된다.
멤버들은 호노카가 아프다는 걸 몰랐다는 자책감에 러브라이브 출전을 포기한다.
그럼에도 다행히 폐교는 백지화되지만, 코토리가 유학을 떠난다는 사실이 알려진다.
Tras el colapso de Honoka sobre el escenario, las μ's cancelan su presentación en el festival escolar. Por si esto último fuera poco, Honoka se entera por Eli que las μ's decidieron retirar su candidatura al Love Live. Luego de descansar, Honoka regresa a la escuela, pero ya que perdió su meta de participar en el Love Live, se encuentra muy desganada. No obstante, gracias a los esfuerzos de las chicas, el número de postulantes a la Preparatoria Otonokizaka se disparó por los cielos, por lo que deciden aceptar estudiantes para el año siguiente. El Club de Estudios Idol da una fiesta para celebrar que no cerrarán la escuela, sin embargo, durante la celebración, Umi revela algo impactante...
