Captain Warrius Zero was captured by the pirate Hunter, and held hostage in exchange for the space battleship Karyu. Zero, helped by Emeraldas, escapes to the planet Sarumatake. But, Harlock and Tochiro had both headed to a large apartment building there, hiding a secret laboratory for a new invention. Furthermore, a large fleet led by Hunter was also aiming for Sarumatake...
