Anna Casteran qui n’a pas subi d’autre violence que celle de la séquestration, a du mal à coopérer avec les enquêteurs. Surpris, ceux-ci se demandent si cela n'est pas dû au retour de son père, Rémi Casteran qui a menti à la police par le passé et qui affirme maintenant n’avoir cessé de rechercher sa fille, seul, pendant ces cinq dernières années, dans ces forêts immenses… Les policiers se retrouvent aussi face à l’autre père, Manuel Perez, le père de Lucie, qui vient bousculer l'enquête à son tour.
